"Greyed Out" Sold Out Items on Avenue Theme

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me how to "grey out" or change the opacity of sold out items on the Avenue Theme? I've tried everything I can find and nothing has worked. I've tried following the "disable sold out items" instructions from shopify as well and that has not worked either with my theme.

To be clear, I'd like to change the opacity of the grid images of sold out items to differentiate them from available items across my site. Thank you!
