Shopify Scripts for non Shopify Plus

Hi All, 

I am a huge shopify fan, however i have one major issue - we have quite a large number of products and we only want certain ranges of products to go via one of our payment gateways , and the rest through another.

There are scripts for this, however script support is only available on shopify plus stores, which is totally unaffordable for the smaller shopify stores like the most of us.

what are the options to do the above?
