Want to use decimals for selling laces and fabric

Hello,

My name is Abubakar. I am setting up an online store on Shopify. I recently faced an issue that deeply concerns me. The main items in my stores are Laces and Fabric which are mostly sold in yards, typically 2.5 yards or more. I want my customers to enter a quantity in decimals whereas currently, it is not possible. Can someone guide me on how I can fix this issue? (I have very little knowledge about web programming.)
