Where to find the code?

I would like to edit the registration form that i have on my webpage which states:

First Name

Last Name

Email 

I would like to change the Last Name field to Contact Number. 

how do i do that?

Depending on the theme, the registration form code can usually be found in a theme file such as customers/register.liquid or main-register.liquid

However, one thing to note in regards to editing the registration form code directly is that Shopify currently does not allow adding form inputs to save data directly into fields such as for contact phone number, you would only be able to save this data into the customer note.

To save the phone number directly into the Shopify standard fields for customer phone number, you would need to use an app such as Helium Customer Fields. The app is a no code solution for building and displaying custom registration forms, and allows collecting data such as the phone number and storing it directly into the standard phone field on the customer account.
