Redirect checkout language

Hello,

 

When i press the checkout button on my German store, it redirects to the dutch checkout.

 

How can i fix this?

Hey @ElliotM , the checkout should follow the language of the store. If it doesn't, it's almost always a 3P app causing it that doesn't use the 'routes object'. Try turning off all apps and seeing if the correct language persists, and if so turning apps on one by one until you find the culprit and speak to their developers.

If your German store is redirecting to the Dutch checkout, it is likely because there is an issue with the settings in your Shopify store. Here are a few steps you can take to fix this issue:

  • Check your store's shipping settings: Make sure that you have set up shipping zones for both Germany and the Netherlands, and that the shipping rates and methods are correct for each zone. If you don't have shipping rates set up for Germany, your store may be redirecting to the Dutch checkout by default.
  • Check your store's language settings: Make sure that your store's language settings are set to German for the German version of your store. If the language is set to Dutch or another language, this may be causing the redirection issue.
  • Check your store's checkout settings: In your Shopify store settings, go to "Settings" > "Checkout" and make sure that the correct checkout language and currency are selected for the German version of your store.
