Product Editor Laggy

Hi there, first time poster, and relatively new user.

Is it normal for the bulk editor to slow right down or freeze when selecting more than say 10 variants or products?

My friend said the Editor was overhauled recently and that it shouldn't be laggy, but I'm waiting upwards of 5 minutes for the page to respond or save changes on 10+ variants/products.

I've attatched a screenshot of the window, You can see Firefox is aware of the slow page, I'm currently waiting for the number 3 I pressed on my keyboard to write onto the selected variant boxes.

Oh I should mention, I'm using a decent desktop pc with a mid-high end gpu/cpu/ram, and on a wired ethernet network at 900mbs/350mbs
