Slow Product Page Loading – Recharge App (Please help :)

1 0 0

My product page is extremely slow when it tries to load the 'Recharge App' – epecially on mobile.

Is this a recharge issue or is this code on my website slowing it down.

Thanks ahead to anyone who can help.

Hi @pauldesign99 ,

Why you have installed recharge app ? what's the reason ?

  • Apps can have a significant performance impact on the stores they are installed on.
  • First of all,  I am not trying to say that you shouldn’t install apps on your store.
  • use less applications on your shopify store. Use such APIs for the Apps.
  • use cookies without an app.

Some code can be removed or reordered to improve your online store's performance. If you're not using an app, then you can remove it.

If you think that an app is slowing down your store, then take the following steps:

Disable app features you don't use, or remove the app if you don't need it. Consider the balance between online store features and speed.

If you're removing an app, then consider removing code that was added as part of the app install process. Some apps help you with this process by wrapping their code in {% comment %} tags that mention the app name. Removing unused app code is a best practice that avoids running code for unused features, and makes your theme code easier to read.

I have checked your store in lighthouse chrome browser tool. score is low as in mobile view..

Low mobile page speed may kill your traffic and affect your conversion.

3rd party apps & codes which take time to load and their size . They decrease the speed.

Need to work on following points

  • Theme Upgrade if there is a scope and upgraded theme available
  • Reduce JS Payload.
  • Use Critical CSS .
  • Reduce Large Image Sizes
  • Compress Images
  • Limit Third Party JavaScript & Shopify Apps
  • Preload Web Fonts.
  • I would suggest limiting to one and using a standard web font.

See where exactly google speed index tools want you to target your code to optimize the site .
