Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello guys,
So, after working for a long time (too long) on my store kragnar.com, I launched Facebook ads. As you see on the screenshots, I have launched 1 engagement campaign et 1 interaction campaign with the idea of feeding my pixel some data. I also have one purchase campaign with multiple adsets set in NL/BE, men, broad interest adv+
First-of-all, I selected a few products and designed different ads (testimonial, features, simple image, ...) to see what worked best with an ABO adset. I had no conversions from this.
I then selected the best performing ad format and duplicated it to a wide selection of my products (23), with the idea of testing which product resonates the best with my audience.
My ad manager is a bit of a mess, I know. However, we can look at the general data trends on the purchase campaign.
€310 spent
€15 CPM
379 Link clicks
CPC between €0.8 and €1.3
CTR between 0.9% and 2%
0 Add to carts (on the screenshot, the 4 do not count as they were tests)
Obviously 0 purchase
Knowing this, I can only assume that something must be wrong with my product page, right ? I used the dawn theme from shopify. I use aliexpress images that I've reworked with photoshop.
Where would you think the issue comes from ? Is it the products ? The pricing ? The landing page ? Ads ? Market ?
You can take a look at my ads here as well : https://www.facebook.com/ads/library/?active_status=active&ad_type=all&country=ALL&media_type=all&q=...
I appreciate any feedback.
Cheers
@ChrisStore Hey
Based on your data, it seems the issue might lie with your product page or overall user experience. The absence of add-to-carts and purchases indicates that visitors aren’t converting after clicking your ads. You should evaluate your product pages to ensure they are engaging, with high-quality images, clear descriptions, and a smooth checkout process. Additionally, check if your pricing is competitive and if your product selection aligns with your target audience’s interests. Also, experiment with different ad formats and targeting options to optimize performance.
Lastly, consider whether your products meet your audience's needs and preferences. Reviewing these areas critically will help you identify any disconnects and improve your results.
Hi @ChrisStore,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty.
I noticed you provided the link to your store and ad campaign for closer examination, but it seems that your store is currently closed, and the ad campaign isn’t accessible. Based on the details you've shared, it looks like the issue might be related to finding the right audience and effectively retargeting them.
Here are some strategies you might want to consider:
1/ Refining Your Audience Targeting:
- Detailed Demographics: It's crucial to understand who your ideal customers are. Use tools like Facebook Audience Insights or Google Analytics to dive deep into the demographics of the people who are interacting with your ads. Look at age, gender, location, interests, and behaviors to identify patterns and trends.
- Behavioral Targeting: Go beyond basic demographics and target users based on their online behavior. Look for those who have shown interest in similar products or have a history of making online purchases in your niche.
2/ Effective Retargeting Strategies:
- Pixel Implementation: Make sure your Facebook Pixel is correctly installed and tracking user behavior on your site. This data will be invaluable for creating custom audiences for retargeting.
- Segmented Retargeting: Segment your retargeting audiences based on their interactions with your site (e.g., page views, add-to-cart, checkout abandoners) and tailor your ads specifically to each segment. For example, show different ads to people who visited a product page but didn’t add to cart versus those who abandoned their cart at checkout.
- Ad Creative for Retargeting: Use dynamic product ads (DPA) to automatically show the products that users viewed on your site. Personalized ads are more likely to bring visitors back to complete their purchases.
3/ Finding the Right Customer:
- Market Research: Spend time researching the preferences and pain points of your target demographic. Tools like surveys, focus groups, and competitor analysis can help you understand what your audience is looking for and how you can better position your products to meet their needs.
- Lookalike Audiences: Once you have data from your initial campaigns, use it to create lookalike audiences. These are groups of people who share similar characteristics with your existing customers or site visitors, making them more likely to convert.
4/ Optimizing the Sales Funnel:
- Follow-Up Strategies: Use email or SMS marketing to follow up with visitors who interacted with your site but didn’t convert. Offering a limited-time discount or reminding them of their abandoned cart can help nudge them toward a purchase.
- Continuous Testing: Regularly test different ad creatives, audience segments, and offers to see what resonates best with your audience. Even small adjustments can lead to significant improvements in conversion rates.
By focusing on targeted research and retargeting, you can more effectively reach the customers who are most likely to be interested in your products, leading to better engagement and, ultimately, more conversions.
SEO Optimization for Better Results
In addition to retargeting, optimizing your store’s SEO can help attract the right customers organically. Here’s a simplified approach:
1/ Keyword Research:
- Focus on Specific Keywords: Target long-tail keywords related to your products. For example, if you sell eco-friendly water bottles, use keywords like “best eco-friendly water bottles 2024” instead of just “water bottles.”
2/ On-Page SEO:
- Optimize Product Descriptions: Include relevant keywords naturally in your product descriptions. For instance, describe features like “BPA-free, durable, and leak-proof” to match what customers might search for.
- Use Meta Tags: Make sure your product pages have clear meta titles and descriptions. Example: “Eco-Friendly Water Bottle - BPA-Free, Leak-Proof | Kragnar.com.”
3/ Technical SEO:
- Speed Up Your Site: Compress images and use a content delivery network (CDN) to ensure your site loads quickly, especially on mobile devices.
- Mobile Optimization: Ensure your site looks good and works smoothly on smartphones.
4/ Content Marketing:
- Start a Blog: Write about topics related to your products. For example, “5 Tips to Stay Hydrated While Reducing Plastic Waste” can draw in eco-conscious customers.
- Encourage Reviews: Ask customers to leave reviews. Positive reviews not only build trust but also help with SEO.
5/ Local SEO (if applicable):
Google My Business: If you target a specific area, ensure your business is listed on Google My Business. This helps you show up in local searches.
By focusing on these areas, you can improve your store’s visibility in search engines and attract more potential customers naturally.
