Feedback for your online store from the community
I want to delete my shopify account. Because I don't have enough money to keep that
Hi @Blarex859
To delete your Shopify account due to financial constraints, follow these steps:
1-Back Up Your Data: Export important information such as customer details, order histories, and product data to ensure you have records for future reference.
2-Fulfill Outstanding Orders: Ensure all pending orders are processed and customers are informed about their order statuses to maintain trust and avoid disputes.
3-Cancel Active Subscriptions and Apps: Review and terminate any third-party app subscriptions to prevent future charges, as these are not automatically canceled when you close your store.
4-Remove Custom Domains: If you've purchased a domain through Shopify and wish to use it elsewhere, transfer it to another domain registrar before closing your store.
5-Deactivate Your Store:
Please note that once you deactivate your store, Shopify retains your information for a limited time (typically 30 days) in case you decide to reactivate. After this period, your data may be permanently deleted. Ensure all necessary data is backed up and consider any legal or tax obligations before proceeding.
For more detailed guidance, refer to Shopify's official documentation or contact their support team.
If you have other questions, I will also answer them.
Best regards,
Daisy
