Accessibility, speed, and layout. Advice, changes, help!

I am not a tech person but have been working on this website for months and I still feel like it's not where I want it to be... any advice or changes that would make it look better? I know nothing about coding either haha.

Everything has a high score except accessibility and speed.... how do I change/fix this?

The speed score is 51.

Any help is very appreciated!!!!!

Hi @jenajune ,

This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder App.

Congratulations on your new store! Based on my extensive knowledge in CRO, I recommend the following suggestions to improve your conversion rates:

1. Let’s reorganizing the header

I've noticed that the navigation on your site is quite challenging to use. To improve user experience, you can consider relocating it to a position next to the logo, where it's more accessible and intuitive for visitors.

2. Get a more straightforward hero banner

My initial impression of your store left me confused about the main product you offer. This is due to the absence of a clear heading and descriptive paragraph on the hero banner, and the image used is not engaging enough.

👉 Consider adding a brief heading and paragraph to introduce your store and products.

3. Move to the brand introduction section

  • Consider relocating the button below the heading for easier access by customers as they read through the content.
  • Similarly to the issue with the hero banner, the product images have the same problem where the model's face is cut off. Using images that show the full face of the model would be more appealing. Please remember, for a clothing store, the quality and presentation of images are crucial.

4. Product list section

It seems that you just sell clothing product, so in this section, you can change the heading to a more attractive and SEO friendly like:

  • Explore Our Unique Collection of …. Style Clothing

And this section is currently missing an 'Add to Cart' button, which is a crucial element for enhancing user convenience and encouraging immediate purchases. By including this button, customers can seamlessly add items to their cart without navigating away from the page, thus simplifying the shopping experience and potentially increasing conversion rates.

5. The "Add to cart" issue

I observed that upon adding items to the cart, the cart icon does not update to reflect the new item count.

6. About the page speed

After reviewing the performance of your store, I found that the scores are 68 for mobile and 85 for desktop. These are commendable figures for a quality store. You still can improve this by implementing four key strategies:

  • Optimize your images for faster loading.
  • Minimize server requests and eliminate unnecessary apps.
  • Construct your page adhering to best practice guidelines.
  • Strike a balance between user experience (UX) and optimal page speed.

7.  Prepare for promotion event

With Valentine's Day approaching, it's an ideal opportunity to increase sales, as your products are perfect for gifting. Attract those searching for the ideal Valentine's gift with these strategies:

  • Create a Valentine's Gift Section: Implement promotions like 'buy one, get one free', pair discounts, or special duo sets. These offers will entice customers seeking value in gifts.
  • Implement a Countdown Timer: Add a countdown on your website for limited-time Valentine's Day deals. This creates urgency and encourages quick purchases.
  • Use Google Ads for Promotion: Advertise your Valentine’s Day specials through Google Ads. This will enhance visibility to those searching for Valentine's gifts, leading them to your store.

I cannot figure out how to add the "Add to Cart" buttons under the clothing items on the home page?

Hi @jenajune ,

  • To add the add to cart button on the product list section, you can consider:
Check Theme Settings: First, go to the theme settings in your Shopify store admin > open the product list section. Sometimes, themes offer to add the "Add to Cart" button. If there's an option to enable, modify, or fix the button, it should be found here.
  • Using a Page Builder App: In case your current theme doesn't support this, or you want more customization options, consider using a page builder app. Apps like PageFly, GemPages, and Ecomposer are popular choices.

Good luck with your store and have a nice day!😄👏
