Adding badges to my home page

Hi there

I would like to add some images as 'badges' to my home page (for example logos of organic cotton etc, to help improve my authority)

Ideally I'd like to display them up next to my navigation but I'm not sure how to do this.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
