Hi all,
I'm trying to add brands as filters on general collection pages to my Shopify store (on the left hand side). I'm currently using tags to filter based on shape/price, but I would like to add brands as a more most generic filter.
Does anyone know if I'm overlooking something?
Rgds
Dennis
Dear @dennistuk
Seems like you need to go with App.
Hi, could you explain what you mean? Do you have a link for me perhaps where I can find more info?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @dennistuk
When it comes to product filtering, Shopify supports storefront filtering and tag filtering. Storefront filtering allows you to easily create filters for filtering collection and search results pages. Filters are based on existing product data, like availability, price, variant options, and more. Meanwhile, tag filtering, which you are using, is to filter a collection into smaller subsets of products.
In this case, I recommend you to try Storefront Filtering and read this document. In case it does not work, I think you should install a product filter app like the Boost Product Filter & Search app here that allows you to filter products instantly by price, size, color, tag, vendor, brand, collection, and more.
