Bring Back “Out of Stock” Filter on Shopify Mobile App (New Update Removed It)

Come on Shopify, why would you guys do this?

Before the recent update on the Shopify app, there was a section under “Products” that clearly showed “Out of Stock” items. That made it super easy for us to stay on top of inventory and clean up listings. Now it’s gone.

We used to just click that “Out of Stock” section, filter it to show only active products, and then go down the list and manually draft anything with zero stock. It was simple. It worked. Now it’s gone, and we’re left having to dig through every single product.

This might not seem like a big deal to some, but for those of us managing tons of SKUs, this was a huge time saver. Now we have to go through each product manually and even worse, if one size is negative and another has 1 in stock, the total shows 0. So we can’t even trust the inventory filter without opening each product one by one. That’s just not realistic when you’re trying to run a business seamlessly.

Right now, the only way to try and find out-of-stock products is to go to Products > Active > Filter > Inventory: Low to High. But that doesn’t work the same. That filter shows total inventory, so if a product has one size at -1 and another at +1, it shows a total of 0 — even though the product still has stock. The old “Out of Stock” section didn’t do that. It only showed items that were actually out of stock across all variants at the top, which made it super easy to draft them without risking hiding something that’s still available.

Please bring this feature back. It was simple, useful, and a big part of our workflow. If anyone else is dealing with the same issue, comment below and let’s get Shopify’s attention on this.

Thanks,

Yes this was vital for knowing what products that had sold that day or stock that arrived and was updated. Seriously Shopify why would you ever remove this. Or I’d love to know HOW at the end of the day I can see what sold and the inventory on it with out havi g to go through every order!! So then can then remove it manually from online store if it was a one off product.

100% agree with this it’s so hard to keep on top of what stock is sold out! This needs to be brought back asap!!
