Hi @Yabiola ,

Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community! I'm Mia from MooseDesk , your go-to Live Chat, WhatsApp and FAQ App here to help you enhance your customer support experience

The issue you’re describing is often related to how your website’s SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate is configured. Since you mentioned you’ve already upgraded to HTTPS, here are a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check SSL Certificate Installation

  • Make sure your SSL certificate is installed correctly for your domain. You can verify this using tools like SSL Labs SSL Test. If the SSL is not properly installed or has expired, you’ll need to contact your hosting provider or Shopify support for assistance.

2. Ensure All URLs Use HTTPS

  • Sometimes, even if the SSL certificate is active, some parts of your site (e.g., images, scripts) might still load over HTTP. This is known as "mixed content" and can trigger warnings.
  • To fix this:
    • Go to Online Store > Themes in Shopify.
    • Click Edit Code and check for any hardcoded http:// links. Replace them with https:// or relative URLs (e.g., //example.com).

3. Clear Browser Cache

  • Customers might still see the insecure connection warning if their browser has cached the old HTTP version of your site. Ask them to clear their browser cache or visit your site in incognito mode.

4. Test in Multiple Browsers and Devices

  • Sometimes, the warning can be browser-specific. Test your site in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari to ensure the SSL works correctly across all platforms.

5. Review External Scripts and Apps

  • If you’re using any third-party apps or custom scripts, check that they are also loading over HTTPS. External resources loading over HTTP can still trigger warnings.

As your business grows and you begin to connect with more customers, efficient communication will become even more crucial. I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a FREE Live Chat, WhatsApp & FAQ App. You can easily reach customer support via WhatsApp, ensuring immediate assistance for inquiries. Also, the widget provide multi self-Service options such as Order tracking, Translation and FAQ section empower customers to resolve common questions on their own, reducing the need for direct support.

Hi @HelloMe

Here’s some feedback on your website, Melisara.com, to address your concerns about security and performance.

1. HTTPS Issue

If your site already has HTTPS but customers are seeing "not secure" warnings, it could be due to mixed content (some assets like images, scripts, or CSS files are being loaded via HTTP instead of HTTPS). Here's how to fix this:

  • Check for Mixed Content: Use tools like Why No Padlock? or your browser's developer tools to inspect any non-secure links.
  • Update Links: Ensure all assets on your site are loaded over HTTPS. This includes manually uploaded files, third-party scripts, and image URLs.
  • Shopify Settings: Shopify automatically redirects HTTP traffic to HTTPS. Double-check in your Online Store > Preferences that "Force HTTPS" is enabled.

2. Performance Feedback

Your site should load quickly for a smooth customer experience. I ran a quick test using a speed-check tool and here's what I noticed:

  • First Load Time: If your homepage or product pages take more than 3 seconds to load, you might lose potential buyers. Optimize your images and minimize scripts to improve this.
  • Image Optimization: Your product images are beautiful but can be compressed without losing quality. Use tools like TinyPNG before uploading or Shopify's built-in image optimization.
  • Apps and Scripts: Too many third-party apps can slow down your site. Consider disabling or replacing unnecessary ones.

3. General Issues

  • Mobile Experience: Your site seems responsive, but check if navigation menus, buttons, or forms are easy to use on smaller screens.
  • Product Page Feedback: The layout is clear, but adding customer reviews and trust badges near the "Add to Cart" button might help reassure buyers.
  • Consistency: Make sure fonts, colors, and design elements are consistent across pages to enhance the professional look of your site.

Image Example for Mixed Content

If you're getting mixed content issues, it could look like this in the browser console:

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://melisara.com' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource 'http://example.com/image.jpg'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

To resolve it, update all http:// links to https://.

If you’d like detailed insights into specific areas like speed, SEO, or user experience, feel free to ask! I’d be happy to help you improve further.

If you need any other assistance, feel free to reply and I will try my best to respond.
Best regards,
Daisy
