Debut theme - display product images on product page in 2 columns

Hi all,

I am currently using a debut theme and would like to display the image photos on the product page in 2 columns, could anyone help? Thank you very much.

screencap from my current product page on desktop (currently I am using an app to display photos in the carousel on mobile, but it turned out displaying as a carousel for the desktop as well.

I appreciate the context and images you have added to your post as that is super helpful. You have a beautiful store, by the way!

By default, the Debut theme will display one product image with the additional images located beside the main image. However, I can definitely see how allowing the product images to display in two columns would be beneficial.

Since the Debut theme is designed and supported by Shopify, we can use free design time for Shopify themes to allow our internal themes team take a closer look into this customization. With that being said, if you would like to use the design time we will need you to login to the store using our Contact Us page. This will allow us to securely verify you as the store owner before speaking with a Support Advisor about the changes you would like to see on the product page.
