Does having two websites affect SEO and SERP ?

I have an important question and really need your help, does having two websites conflict or affects your SEO and SERP ranking in Search Engines. 

We have two websites running:

www.muezart.com - Worldwide 
www.muezart.in - India only 

Also can you please suggest what other alternatives available?
