Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello Everyone,
I have had a store on Shopify for years now (mypurebotanical.com), and it has gone through loads of revisions. I am very happy with how my store looks now, but despite getting up to 60 views per day from my ad campaigns and organic traffic, it takes up to 2 months to get an order. My products are a lower price point than most competitors and are of the highest quality on the market. One of my undergraduate degrees are in marketing, yet I am totally stumped. Am I missing something?
Hi @Mackiejc
Welcome to our community & thank you for your sharing your business.
I see your site look good but if you still get less sales you should consider to setup bundle discounts, maybe increase the original price to push discount strategy.
Maybe like:
- Buy 2 get 5% off, Buy 5 get 15% off
- Order subtotal is greater than $1000 will get free shipping
- Order subtotal is greater than $1200 will get free gift
- Order subtotal is greater than $1500 will get 10% off
- Mix and match a bundle to have a discount price. Eg: mix product Flower Power & product Forest Friends to a bundle then put a price like $88
All of them can get more attractive from clients. Why shouldn't you do?
I'm founder of BiDeal Bundle Volume Discount app - an app resolve every issue I list a bove. It's free at the moment so you can try it out.
Let me know if you need any assistance.
Thanks!

Hi @Mackiejc
I notice your current situation and would like to do something for you with the feedback you need on the store. Through my page speed test, I notice the different scores existing on your website via phone port and desktop port. Here are the details below, please kindly check:
https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-www-mypurebotanical-com/adnxletxyp?form_factor=mobile
The speed test score on desktop port is much higher than the one on phone port. This means you must pay a lot of efforts and attention on desktop previously, but lack of further optimizations on phone port accordingly. If your users prefer to access product pages via phone port, the slow page speed will affect your conversions and shorten the time of staying on your web pages for some users. Therefore, please pay more attentions on page speed on desktop and mobile both. So far, the factor affecting your page speed on mobile is LCP element mainly, you can check this guideline from Google to learn more about LCP status and get support from developers for further optimization on page speed mainly. Thank you!
Hi @Mackiejc,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. We are MooseDesk, a comprehensive Live Chat, FAQ & Helpdesk App designed to elevate your customer support experience.
Your store has quite enough essential information. However, if you want to make it more convertible, please check my recommendations below.
1. Add a favicon
Adding a favicon can indeed contribute to converting visitors to shoppers, although its impact might be more subtle than other elements. It helps users quickly reorient themselves if they accidentally navigate away, potentially salvaging sales
2. Freeze the menu bar
A sticky header makes it easier for users to find what they're looking for and avoid having to scroll back to the top each time they want to navigate to a different website section.
3. Enhance the footer section
The footer is often overlooked, but it's a valuable piece that can significantly enhance user experience and boost your website's effectiveness. Some of the elements you can consider adding are:
4. Add a search bar to the FAQ page
A search bar will help your customers find relevant information quickly without having to scroll down all the way to the bottom.
5. Add a live chat widget
Live chat assists potential customers instantly, addressing their questions or concerns in real time. This can prevent abandonment and encourage purchases.
I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a free live chat, FAQ & Helpdesk App. MooseDesk provides auto-reply features during non-business hours, a proactive help center, and a user-friendly widget layout, offering an effective solution to enhance customer support on your platform.

Hello there @Mackiejc I just had a look at your store and I want to first commend you for making such a unique selection in terms of the product you are using. In terms of how to improve the store itself, here are some areas I’ve identified
1) You should have a sticky header with the search button icon on it to make it much easier for customers to navigate through your store.
2) The customer reviews on the homepage are well detailed but it would be a good idea to add photos and maybe the occupations of the people giving the reviews so that they appear much more authentic than they do at the moment.
3) Add a FAQ page on the homepage as well where you can go into more details on information like the materials you use for the products, etc.
Hi there @Mackiejc. It's clear you've put in time & care, and you're very passionate about the quality of your products 🙂
From looking through your store, I feel that the core issue isn't your pricing or product quality, but it's about trust and presentation. Right now, the store design doesn't reflect enough level of professionalism and credibility that your brand deserves at all, unfortunately. If you wouldn't mind, I will take a few issues below as example:
- First impressions feel unfinished: The hero section (and homepage, in general) feels minimal and unfinished. There's no clear brand story, no strong value hook, and the visual styling doesn't reflect the care that's clearly behind your formulas. For wellness shoppers, esp. cold traffic from ads, emotional trust may be everything.
- Header menu: Right now, it includes a single dropdown 'Catalog' menu, which doesn't really help guide the visitors or encourage browsing. A visitor landing from your ads may not know where to go next. You can consider organizing header menu into specific collections to improve navigation and communicate the confidence and purpose of your products.
- Product pages lack structure and persuasion: While your product descriptions are informative, they are displayed as unformatted text blocks. Also, there's no use of images, trust badges, reviews, etc. to guide the visitor's decision. This might cause the visitors to hesitate and hurt conversion even when someone is interested.
- No urgency reminder: Shoppers don't see signals like "Best Seller", "Low Stock", etc. There's no reinforcement that your brand is legitimate or that your products are in demand.
I strongly recommend investing in a professional theme or design refresh. For the last issue, if you'd like a quick win, I'd also recommend using the DECO Product Labels & Badges app to highlight things like "Best Seller", "Low Stock", "30% OFF", etc. across your collections and product pages.
You've already got the hard part - the products themselves and now it's just time to give them the store they deserve. Cheers! 🙂
Thank you so much, this is very helpful! I will be implementing these changes as soon as possible. I greatly appreciate your feedback!
My pleasure, @Mackiejc. Feel free to ask any questions if you need help anytime soon. Happy selling!
Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. After viewing your website, I believe our expertise could add value to your business.
Several merchants who worked with us also faced the same challenges as yours- getting traffics but few conversions. One area that often makes a significant difference is retargeting, which is designed to bring back those visitors who leave without making a purchase. It works by keeping your brand top-of-mind as people continue browsing the web, gently reminding them of what they left behind in your store. By focusing your marketing efforts on people who have already shown interest, you’re far more likely to see a return on your ad spend.
To streamline the work of launching retargeting campaigns, check out our Ako Marketing app. It lets you set up retargeting ads for Facebook, Instagram, and Google right from your Shopify admin, helping you recover abandoned carts and convert more visitors into buyers.
Best wishes! If you have any more questions or need a free professional consultation, feel free to let us know! Don't forget to like and mark it as a solution if you find this helpful.
Hi @Mackiejc! It's Tracy here from BON.
Thanks for sharing your story—your store looks great, and it’s clear you've put a ton of work into it. Totally understand how frustrating it can be to get consistent traffic but very few conversions. From what we’ve seen at BON (we help Shopify merchants build loyalty programs to boost repeat purchases), this situation actually comes up a lot. Here are a few things that might help:
1. Start by reviewing traffic quality
60 visits a day is decent, but the real question is: are they the right visitors? Dive into your traffic sources and consider using heatmaps (like Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity) to see where people focus—or drop off. A bit of A/B testing on product pages or banners might reveal what resonates better with your audience.
2. It’s normal that people don’t buy right away
Especially with wellness or botanical products, the decision process can take time. What you need is trust + urgency. Map out your customer journey—from first visit to purchase—and look for friction points. Is there enough social proof? Is it clear why someone should buy now?
3. Build ongoing relationships
A one-time visit often isn’t enough. Consider running a small email capture campaign (like a popup with a first-time offer) and build a list of genuinely interested leads. Then nurture them with emails about your brand story, benefits of your products, or tips on how to use them.
4. Add social proof + live chat
Even just a few customer reviews or real-life product photos can make a huge difference in building confidence. A live chat tool also helps answer those quick questions that might otherwise cause people to leave.
Lastly, if you haven’t already, this might be a great time to think about a loyalty or referral program. I recommend checking out BON Loyalty, a user-friendly, powerful, all-in-one loyalty solution designed specifically for Shopify stores. Rewarding small actions like email signups, product shares, or first purchases can not only improve conversion—it also brings people back. Hope this gives you a clearer direction! You've already got the product and presentation nailed—it’s just about tightening the journey from visitor to customer.
Need a loyalty program that actually works? Check out BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app (Free plan available).
Hi @Mackiejc ! Getting 60 views daily but only one order every 2 months suggests a serious conversion issue rather than a traffic problem. Despite your marketing background and store revisions, there are still some fundamental gaps affecting sales.
