Feedback on my store

9 0 2

Hi everyone,

My wife & I own and operate

Neither of us have any experience with design, so we'd really appreciate any suggestions on how we can improve the design of our store. We feel that there are small things we could change that would greatly impact a customers experience, but honestly we don't know how and where to start.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Hi @AlokJ

I had a brief glance on your store & trust me it is fabulous
I would like to share some suggestions & hope it helps.

Firstly coming to your header part ,logo is awesome but it is not visible in the landing page
whereas at the other pages like product page it is visible.

It will be an added advantage if you add "About Us" page also.
The “About Us” page is the perfect place to express your business’s unique identity , While your other pages are dedicated to your products and services, this page is all about what makes your business special.

ADD TESTIMONALS:  A testimonial is a customer statement attesting to a brand's or product's superior performance, quality or results
Importance of testimonials  Firstly & fore mostly it earns the trust of your visitors which may turn them to your future customers
It is apt saying that the more testimonials you have, the more your visitors will assume that you must be a trustworthy company.

Thank you so much for taking the time out to go through our store and leave us your feedback

While we do have testimonials and an about us page on the website, we will definitely work to make both of them more prominent.

We really appreciate the help

Hi @AlokJ

Awesome Shopify store! It looks amazing! Here are just a few of my thoughts.

  • I would focus on ensuring your product photography is on more of your product pages - that would show your customers using the product and you have tons of great photos through out the site that could work well and showcase your customers
  • Optimize your product pages by adding banners that highlight promo codes or any special discounts, customer reviews or information about the product, directly on the product pages. This will help guide your customers through education on your products. There are some great examples here:
  • Its also a perfect way to highlight your mission and the causes you support like rescue animals
  • Keep the blog going as it is a great way to boost your SEO and organic traffic

Hope that helps,

This is PageFly - a Free Shopify Landing Page Builder. I would love to provide my recommendation for your store based on 5 years of providing solutions for over 90.000 active Shopify merchants. Personally, I think your product page looks good. however, the store needs some small changes to make it look more professional:

1. Product Images

You should provide 3-5 images of “Feature Callout” right under product images. Showing “Feature Callout” images specifically helps users recognize and understand key product details.

For example, when it comes to yoga pants, I want to see a close-up look on the material.

2. Delivery service

I think it will be more detailed if there is shipping information near the Buy section such as Shipping Fee, Delivery date...

Many users don’t want to wait until checkout to know when they’ll receive their orders. If you provide a delivery date range (E.g: “Get it as soon as Aug. 7–10”) near the BUY section, it will help them to easily understand when they can expect to receive their products.

3. Return policy

If the return policy information is easy to find in the main product page content, it helps users to quickly answer questions they have about the site return policy during their product search, minimize the time users must postpone their product search to locate.

Even if the return policy is located in the sitewide header or footer, it can be difficult to find, as these areas are typically crammed with links, icons, and other eye-catching elements that make it difficult to pinpoint the return policy link.

4. Recently viewed items

Users sometimes want to return to previously viewed items for a variety of reasons. Therefore, to make it easy for users to navigate back to previously visited products, a list of recently viewed items should be presented at the bottom of product pages.

You should check out PageFly Academy, it will provide you anything to build a converting product page:

Hi @AlokJ

I just took a look at your store. I must say for people without any design experience, your store is aesthetically pleasing and well designed. It works well both on mobile and desktop. Kudos on a job well done

Here are my feedbacks

1. Add a Quickshop/Quickview option on the collection pages.

When your customers are browsing your collection pages, you want to give them the option of easily viewing your product details without opening the product pages. I think there are two kinds of customers. Those that know exactly what they want to buy and those that are looking for what to buy. For those that know what they want to buy you probably won't need a quickview option, for those that are looking for what to buy, you definitely want to give them the option of viewing the product details on the collection page without opening the product pages. When they have to open each product page to view the product details, they will most likely not view all your products.

Most themes already have a quickview/quickshop option, you can check for this on your theme customizer and enable it.

Also, you can get the quickview/quickshop option for free when you install the Collections filter & Search bar by Sobooster app.

2. Add a search icon on the header;

forgive my ugly design - but the idea is to have a search icon on your header that your customers can use to easily search your store to find products that they are most interested in and are likely to buy. You want to make it easy for your customers to find the products they want to buy and having a search bar where they can easily use it can be useful.

Good luck and Cheers!

Thanks a tonne for taking the time out to review the store.

All of the suggestions are valid, i actually have installed your app and tried using it twice, but I just didn't have the expertise or patience to effectively use it.

Maybe we can have a chat to handhold me through the app and how to set it up?
