- Add the ‘buy now’ button- it lets your shoppers purchase the products they want faster and avoid extra steps of the checkout process.
- Add a delivery policy in the footer menu.
- You should add a loyalty rewards program to your store. Congratulations on launching your store! I've taken a look through and have some feedback for you.
LOGO
Your logo is one of those things that holds a lot of weight in how professional or unprofessional your store looks. The one you have there is a nice graphic but it's not a logo. I would highly recommend having a professional logo done up for your store, it’s a worthy investment.
Once your logo is finished, you can match the fonts and colors in your store to your logo. This is going to level up your store even more and make you look very professional.
HOMEPAGE BANNER
Your homepage banner looks really good, my one suggestion would be to replace the second photo with the dogs as the circle goes right over the dogs face. You can find high quality (free) stock photos from these websites:
FOOTER
The black background looks disconnected from the other light & bright colors throughout your store. The white text and outlines against the black are a little hard on the eyes, I'd recommend changing the color (refer to your logo for color options).
UPSELL
Upsells are a good thing but the products recommended on your store aren't the best suggestions. I'd recommend looking into alternative upsell apps that make more strategic recommendations. Here is one to look at: https://apps.shopify.com/recommended-products-wiser
SHIPPING
You need to add in an estimated shipping time at checkout. For some people, shipping time can be a deal breaker so they won’t proceed with their purchase without that information.
If you are concerned that displaying longer shipping times will turn people off, I would say that for some it might but long-term, you want happy customers so it's better to say up front, "hey, this could take up to 3-4 weeks to arrive" rather than not giving a shipping time and then getting an email 2 weeks later from an unhappy customer wondering where their package is.
SOCIAL MEDIA
I noticed you don’t have any social media links listed. Having an active social media presence adds trust to your brand. If there’s nothing about your brand online, it’s a red flag to your visitors. Potential customers are going to research before purchasing and one of the first places they are going to check is social media. Highly recommend getting on social media and adding those links to your Shopify store.
PRODUCTS
This is something we see very commonly on the forums. People tend to start shops selling things like pet products, clothing, tech and etc. The problem with this is that these types of items can already be purchased offline in hundreds of retail stores (Petco, Target, Walmart, Petcetera etc.) as well as online through thousands and thousands of online stores. When a person is searching for a clothing item or a piece of jewelry in Google, these big companies with massive marketing budgets are who is showing up in search results and who you are competing with for customers.
Now, a person can complete IF they give people a reason to purchase from them vs. the other guys. An example of this might be someone who sells locally, their "reason" as to why you should purchase from them vs the other guy is because they are local and a lot of people are passionate about shopping local. In addition to this, they can also get products to their customers faster and can offer incentives such as free local delivery.
I would think about all your "whys" and what sets you apart and use that in your marketing and in the text in your store.
If you cannot find a way to set yourself apart in the market, it is time to move on to a different product. What we recommend is selling winning products. A winning product choice should have these qualities:

Congratulations on your store. Looks great and I wish you all the success in the world. I will second what @EcomGeeks said about a logo. But what is more important is that your current logo does not have the name of your store. I have to look at the URL for the name. once a customer leaves the store, they might not remember who they visited. You do not have to spend an enormous amount on a log because that is likely to change as you grow, but at least add the name to your store like www.petco.com

After review of you store, I will advise you to install some social proof apps on the store. Most of the buyers will not buy if they did not found the site authentic. For first time buyer's you have to win their trust and social proof are great way to achieve that.
Also, you have not added any push notification app pan your store.Push notifications have high conversion rate. Most of the visitors just leaves after adding product to cart without purchasing it. Push notifications are great way to remind them of their abandoned cart and nudge them to complete the purchase.
You are really missing out with this core functionality which could easily recover some lost sales for you.
There are plenty of app on appstore which are offering push notification either for free or for very reasonable price.

This one is offering abandoned cart ,back in stock and price drop notification on push and emails.

I didn't read previous comments, so that might have been said already.
I don't know how you plan to acquire customers,and through what funnel, and if you plan to lead them to your Homepage or product pages. I came about your homepage without any previous context and it tool me a while (a few good seconds) to understand what it is that you are selling.
Just by looking above the fold, I was sure you are selling animals 🙂
Given that visitors have very limited attention spend, I would use the banner above the fold to showcase products or at least state your mission statement (which I still not sure what it is:)).
