Feedback for your online store from the community
I need help from the community feedback on our site, sskein.co. We want to have a fast checkout, and improve conversion rate. We have traffic, but the conversation rate is low (.6%). We like to improve it to 2-2.5%. Any suggestions would be helpful! Do we need to hire professional help to optimize our site?
Hi @elisasskein, it’s Kate here from the PageFly team, a Shopify Page Builder app.
First off, nice store! But I do have some recommendations that I’d like to share to further optimize your checkout and conversion rates.
1. Add a favicon logo to your store. A favicon not only adds a professional touch but also helps customers easily identify your tab in a browser full of open tabs.
2. Utilize a high-contrast color for the announcement bar. To minimize the chance of visitors missing out on special deals or important notifications, it's essential to make your announcement bar stand out. Choose a color that contrasts sharply with your website's primary color scheme.
3. Position the banner title and CTA button within the first scroll. To boost your click-through rate (CTR), it's crucial that visitors see your main banner title and call-to-action (CTA) button without having to scroll down. This strategic placement ensures that your key messages and actions are immediately visible, leading to a higher CTR and a greater chance of conversion.
The easier you make it for visitors to engage with your content, the more likely they are to take the desired action, which can directly contribute to an increase in conversions.
4. Reduce the size of product images on the homepage and increase white space. While your products are exceptional and visually appealing, having too large images with no white space around them, except for the mega menu, can overwhelm visitors.
Introducing more white space around product images will not only highlight your products more effectively but also provide a clearer, more organized view of your store.
For example:
5. Incorporate clear CTA buttons on the homepage and make product images clickable.
The lack of "Buy Now" or "Shop Now" CTA buttons and non-clickable product images on the homepage hinders visitor engagement.
Adding clickable CTAs and making product images lead directly to purchase or detail pages will simplify the shopping journey, encouraging more interactions with your products.
6. Add a collection list to the homepage. This will significantly enhance site navigation and help visitors find what they're looking for with greater ease.
By organizing your products into collections, you can provide a clearer, more categorized browsing experience.
I'm confident these tips will enhance your store and boost conversion rates.
I wish you the best in your endeavors. Keep up the great work!
Cheers,
Kate | PageFly team

The default search landing page is a bit off, I mean it's empty. You can show products on that page as well by simply updating the default search on the website with different search solutions. Other significant observations for store optimization are as follows:
I hope you find these suggestions helpful in enhancing your store's performance and providing an improved experience for your customers.
