hi there!
I'd like to get a feedback on my store. Getting a good traffic, looks like customers are interested in products but they add to cart and leave without even clicking on checkout button. I can't understand what stopping them from buying

Hi, @!

I have taken a look at your website and would like to make a couple of suggestions -

  • Product Descriptions - Add product descriptions to all products in your collection. Product descriptions help make your website look more professional and helps to sell the actual product. A lot of customers would want to know the specific details of the clothing pieces and accessories they're wanting. It's also beneficial to answer any questions a customer may have regarding the product within the product description.

  • FAQ Page - This is an overlooked asset to a website so it's awesome that you've gone ahead and added this page to your website. A customer usually don't continue with making a final purchase if they have unanswered questions about anything regarding your business. It's best that they can find the answer promptly on the website.

I would also like to suggest downloading this app onto your store - Replay Site Recorder & Surveys | Shopify App Store. You can use this app to see a recording of shoppers’ sessions. You'll be able to see how your customers navigate and interact with your store, including what items they look at. Doing this could help you find (and fix) potential areas viewers may be getting stuck and help reduce the amount of abandoned carts on your site. Here is also a helpful guide regarding Conversion Rate Optimization which is beneficial for you to take a look at.

Hello @Cami2

Hope you are doing good. Your store looks nice and here are few suggestions.

Add a favicon, which helps to find your store when customer had multiple tabs in their browser.

Add a logo which gives Identity and separates from the competition.

Make sticky header for easy navigation. It helps customer to access menu at any time they want.

Add Testimonials or reviews on the homepage to build trust with the visitors.

Include Blog page, Blog posting will allow you to show your followers a personal side of your business. In this way you can engage with Existing and New customers.

Make social link open on new tab.

You can promote your products with word of mouth strategy. Boost your sales with the app from the shopify app store   which helps to increase your sales.

There is no terms and conditions checkbox at checkout. I suggest you to install an app from shopify app store which provides 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' before checkout .As it makes easy for the customer to read your terms and policies.

You can also sell your products on Etsy marketplace as it is very good platform to sell unique, handmade and Vintage goods . If you are already selling on Etsy store consider our Etsy Integration app in the shopify app store. Etsy is a Huge marketplace for selling creative goods such as art & collectibles, crafts & supplies, jewellery &accessories and more,  if you have any unique/handmade/vintage goods in your store, you can give further exposure to your products.

Hi @Cami2

  • I’m Richard Nguyen - CRO Expert at PageFly- Free Landing Page Builder. With over 5 years of experience in providing solutions for over 100.000 stores to help merchants increase their conversion rates, I’d like to provide you with some feedback with the hope they would be helpful to you

I like how you have:

  • Have a clear and CTA button on the banner
  • Showing customer reviews
  • Have Shipping and Refund information

Besides these things, I have some comments and suggestions for you:

Add favicon to your store

Having a favicon for your store will make your store unique and help customers easily recognize it. You can check this article to know how to add it.

1. Home page

1.1 Make the menu sticky

  • A sticky menu header helps customers to reach out to the menu and access the menu anytime they want.
  • A sticky navigation bar will help customers navigate themselves from every part of the homepage to any page of your store more convenient

1.2 Add section about your brand story

Lack of trust can be the main reason for cart abandonment. If you are doing a dropshipping store gives you the opportunity to create a long-term eCommerce store. Branding is also great to increase the trust and the percentage of customers returning to your store.

1.3 Show Instagram images on your home page

  • I see that you have a high follower count on your Instagram, you should take advantage of this and bring it on to your homepage. It would be a waste not to showcase them on your site. Customers can follow you on social and this could become a way for marketing besides email subscription. You can consider install our free plan and use the Instagram element to showcase your Instagram image collection.
  • You can check out our manual on how to do this: https://pagefly.link/fFqtXKqE

1.4 Have a newsletter/ signup form

  • Having a newsletter on your site, customers can subscribe to their emails to receive product information, any sales campaign, etc from your store.
  • PageFly integrates with Klaviyo, Omnisend, and MailChimp, they are great apps to customize forms for your page.

2. Collection page

2.1 Have secondary hover images for the product list

  • By presenting secondary hover images, customers can easily scan many products to see extra visual information.

2.2 Use swatches to indicate color variations

  • The first issue is when there’s no indication of the color variations at all in list items. In this situation, it will be very difficult for users scanning the product list to learn that color variants exist.
  • Use swatches to indicate color variations in list items (and a single swatch or text if there’s only one color), ensure swatches are large enough to provide users with sufficient visual information, and if all color variations can’t be shown clearly indicate the total number (e.g., “+11”).

I take this as an example:

mai.png

3. Product page

3.2 Use swatches as the selector for Color variations

  • Instead of a drop-down color selector, you can consider using color swatches to provide visibility- this will help users to assess the available colors of products easier.
  • On desktop, provide a preview of the color swatch being hovered, and on mobile carefully consider screen real estate when there are more than 2 rows of swatches.

I take this product page as an example:

Hi @Cami2,

This is UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing - We are the no.1 Affiliate marketing on Shopify app store. I am happy here to share some experience and suggestions for your online store. And I truly hope that they are useful and helpful for you in improving your sales performance.

I totally you are just starting your business. Firstly, congratulation for your first step. It would be hard at the beginning. Most other business would be same as you when beginning, and now they are successful. So be patient!

I have just taken a quick look at your website and I picked up some plus points are:

  • The layout of the page is clear

  • You divide your products into different categories.

  • You include enough information for customer in the footer

  • The information of each product is clear and detailed

However, here are some suggestions for improvement and I hope you find it useful:

1. Setting a sticky menu

If the headers keep disappearing, it makes it hard to find what the customer is looking for. That is why if you make your headers sticky. This helps customers to reach out to the menu and access the navigation bar at anytime.

2. Add CTA button such as "Shop Now", "View More", "Add To Cart" into your collection.

3. Adding product reviews.

Customers will spend their to read user reviews more than they read product descriptions.  So try to add some reviews of your products to your homepage. It will strongly help to increase customer's reliability to your products. You can use product review apps so support you to do it.

Regarding marketing strategy, you should spend first priority to find the methods which brings positive results with no risky and low cost. It much better for you at this time.

Tip 1: Sell your products in social channels such as Facebook and Instagram

The top social media networks include: Facebook; Twitter; Instagram; Snapchat; LinkedIn; TikTok; Pinterest; Youtube. You should open your store on different social media channels, such as creating page, Instagram account. Then link them to your website. That will help you to get more sales from diversity sources.

However, they are popular methods to viral your products faster. However, you should consider it because it is not really a potential choice for starters. The reason is that you might cost a lost of money to run for long term. In some specific case, if it don't bring positive traffics for you, you also need to pay fee to maintain them. We know it because we know many customers get same issues.

Tip 2: Using affiliate marketing

My recommendation is that you should think about another safer and suitable methods for your business. Affiliate marketing could be a good option for your.  Affiliate marketing is a marketing model which allows you to connect with various affiliates, and then they will use their advertising sources such as social media channels, websites, blogs, etc, to promote your products. You only need to pay affiliate commission whenever a customer makes a purchase via the unique link or coupon associated with their recommendation.

How to publish your affiliate registration on your menu bar?

You can add the affiliate registration form on the shop menu, so any visitors who visit your site can easily approach your affiliate campaign.

Your affiliate can create an account and log in right in your shop, which is really simple and convenient.

The advantages of affiliate Marketing compared with other methods

1. Low investment but high cost effective

In fact, affiliate marketing does not need a huge amount to build a customer service team, or running advertising. This campaign helps to mitigate any risks that drive traffic or run social ads with little or no result for your Shopify business, while also ensuring that merchants achieve what they pay for.

In fact, whereas a poor marketing campaign that sends you low quality results will still need to be paid for, even if you make no sales. However, affiliate marketing ensures your marketing is cost effective and helps to reduce the risk of “leaking out” money for an uncertain market.

2. Make extra income

The main advantage of affiliate marketing is that the income is entirely performance-based. This is because affiliates are only paid a commission when a purchase has taken place. That means if the affiliates have an ineffective campaign, it won’t affect your budget.

The affiliates understand that driving huge traffic of potential customers will help to increase sales conversion. For this reason, the affiliates will spend much effort to build effective social platforms, promotion or boosting posts of your products in a better way to attract customers. The more efficiently they work, the more commission they generate, and the more sales you earn.

3. Brand Awareness

A research reported that 92% of customers trust the recommendations of people, companies or influencers they know. For this reason, working directly with affiliate marketers who then promote your products to their established audience, brings more opportunities and more direct sales. The plus of affiliate marketing is to expand out into new markets that you haven't explored, giving your brand a much stronger online presence.

4. SEO Value

Publishers (the affiliates) link to your website to send traffic your way. Provided they aren’t spammy, these links are usually beneficial for your off-page SEO efforts, since inbound links are a huge factor in Google’s ranking algorithm.

5. Customer Data

UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing provides you valuable data and insight into how, where and why your customers are buying, which you can then use to make smarter marketing decisions in the future across other channels.

Here are our recommendation to push your sales with affiliate marketing:

1. Offer a competitive commission

When setting the commission rules, make sure that it is compatible with your market (not too low or too high in comparison with your competitors).

You can setup your commission structure for each commission program. for example you can pay your affiliate percentage of sale, flat rate per order, or flat rate per item.

Via UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing, beside setting program commission, you can also set special commission rules for specific products that might be useful for promoting products with higher/lower price or higher/lower profit margins. Merchant can make use of this feature by offering a higher commission rate for the product you want to drive more sales.

UpPromote_3-1634551322890.png

2. Generate coupon code:

A lot of shoppers search for coupons to see if it's a chance they can save some money upon purchasing. Thus, assigning a coupon code for your affiliates can both bring benefits to the customers and help your members to convince the consumers to buy from them.

Moreover, a discount coupon can be easily shared and remembered, which is useful for social media promotion. Also, you can freely set a coupon rule, not limited by just percentage discount, it can be fixed amount discount, Free shipping, Buy X get Y,...

Plus, you have an option to assign multiple coupons for each affiliate, which helps them with numerous options to support your brand. Coupon code within UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing can be assigned manually or automatically.

3. Offer higher commission rate for outstanding affiliates

On the other hand, you can motivate your team by moving them to a different program once they reach a proper level (such as referring 1000 orders successfully). As affiliates sell more, they earn more. It is a simple but very effective way to encourage affiliates to promote your products or services.

A clear tier system will encourage the affiliate to drive more conversion to your brand, a tier model could look like this:

  • 0 – 1000 referrals = 20% commission

  • 1000– 2000 referrals = 25% commission

  • 2000– 5000 referrals = 30% commission

  • 5000+ referrals = 35% commission

You can use UpPromote: Affiliate Marketing to build your own auto-tier commission rule easily.

It's better to attach your Shopify store link so that people in the forum like us could give you some suggestions in terms of store design ^^

No worries, you can try other ways. Like look into your marketing efforts, is it effective enough?

I recommend you use affiliate marketing, one of the most profitable marketing types that you could ever imagine. You only pay for the affiliates only when they make the sales for you, isn't it great?

I have tried running ads before but it makes no difference, I got a lot of traffic but no sales at all, I was afraid that would cause a big loss to my budget without gaining any results, that's when my friend suggested I try affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is a marketing strategy motivating your affiliates to promote your products/ service for commission exchange.

Three parties involved are:

Merchants: you

Affiliates responsible for selling the merchant’s product/ service to their sizable audience

Customers are consumers that fit within the affiliate’s target audience

Here is how this work:

#1 You and affiliate collaborate either through a third party or directly

#2 The affiliate shares the product/service (typically through a referral link/ a coupon) to their audience

#3 The potential customer get engaged with the affiliate’s link

#4 The customer arrives at your landing page

#5 The consumer purchases your product

#6 The affiliate earns a commission

At the end of the day, you would get more and more customers and rocket sales with less effort.

What merchants have difficulties when initially launch an affiliate program is HOW TO FIND AFFILIATES?
