Feedback for your online store from the community
Issue:
I create jewelry made to order. I know how many beads required to make each product. I WANT Shopify to allow me to put 1. Product Option (photo to match) and then pick the size they want. So 2 drop boxes .. WITHOUT me having to put inventory levels for each variant. This makes it incredibly hard for business owners like myself who maintain inventory this way. (Don't respond with "change your inventory process").
If anyone has suggestions I have seen others also complaining about lack of features in Shopify. I want to keep the feedback alive so they fix it.
ned examples Shopify... This is why I still use ETSY, and will still pay the nickel and diming of etsy because their set up is so easy to use.
Shopify and Etsy .. like Microsoft and Apple..

Gotcha, @Apow
In this case, what you can do is use a product options app to create your variants. One such as Infinite Options. When you create the actual products through the app, it should do is allow you to have all those variants below to one actual product, which you are inventory tracking.
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Hey, @Apow
Happy to help here. Just to confirm, do you want to consolidate your inventory of a product that has multiple options into one base inventory count?
For example, with your beaded jewelry, you offer 2 dropdowns:
1st dropdown is of the product design of the beaded jewelry. Ex. red, green, blue, etc.
2nd dropdown is the size of the jewelry. Ex. Small, medium, large, etc.
And regardless of what combination of variants they choose, you want the inventory to reduce by 1 from one single universal inventory stock?
Let me know if we're on the same page here and I'd be happy to look into potential options further.
