Gift wrapping not working when I publish the theme

I have just added the Gift wrapping feature to my cart after following this guide: https://shopify.dev/tutorials/customize-theme-add-gift-wrap-option

It works fine when I am previewing the theme, however when I publish the theme i am working on it stops working.

Any idea why this would be?
