Good marketing and traffic but no sales

Hello, I recently started my online dropshipping store https://visagevisuel.com/. I have been advertising for a while now but and have made over 200 clicks in total and spent around $250. However, after changing and trying different audiences I can't seem to get sales. I have gotten 1 sale so far, which was someone who first abandoned their cart and then after receiving 10% discount decided to purchase. Please, if you have any opinions or suggestions, I am just happy to read.
Thanks

Erik

Hope you have a productive week ahead @erikholm

I’m Richard Nguyen from PageFly- Free Landing Page Builder. I have to say that I completely love your beautiful and professional store and bet you must have put a lot of effort into it. I just want to add some comments to help you ramp up your sale growths:

1. Provide a review section for each product page. Product reviews are one of the most vital tools users typically look to for product information and to determine if a product is a good fit for their needs. Reviews often highlight details that users find important and can provide unique specificities that product descriptions lack. For example, users may look to reviews to clarify details, such as texture, fit, or quality, that may not be easily determined by site-provided information or product images.

On both desktop and mobile sites, load a minimum of 6 reviews by default. On desktop, consider loading no more than 15 reviews by default, while on mobile, consider loading no more than 10. Additionally, use a “Load More” button to inject additional reviews into the same page (not pagination)

Reviews are crucial when it comes to shopping online. PageFly allows you to add testimonials and product review to the page in ease ways

Some third-party review apps you should consider are: Stamped.io, Loox, Opinew, etc,..

Moreover, you can check this guide to pick the best reviews app for your store!

2. Develop engagement-driven Email Drip Campaigns based on email lead generation from your support chat box:

Email marketing is the most scalable and best way to increase traffic and sales on Shopify. Unlike many other marketing and ads platforms whose algorithms usually change, email marketing largely remains usable and inexpensive to run.

here are examples of engagement-driven email drip campaign sequences for you:

  • Welcome emails for first-time users
  • Abandon cart reminders for re-engagements
  • Post-purchase emails to upsell recommended products
  • Periodic newsletters with updates for giveaways, new blog posts, etc.

3. Send Abandoned Shopping Cart email

Sending an abandoned cart email is one of the best ways to appeal to consumer desire and recover sales. If done correctly and combined with promotional material that adds value to the customer, your abandoned cart email should give your customer the nudge to finish their “abandoned” purchase

4. Write Product Description that sells

Tips: You can use Product Description Generator Tools to create hundred of content descriptions at ease

Thanks for the reply! I found the no. 1 tip most valuable since I have done the rest like email marketing etc. I have a testimonials page, but I guess not too many people go there. I will add reviews to my product page, thanks.

Hey there, @erikholm!

Welcome to Shopify! It’s frustrating to put money into a paid campaign only to see no results. The good news is that I see that you have Lucky Orange installed! I’m one of the co-founders of Lucky Orange, and I know from helping thousands of Shopify stores to find new ways to improve their websites.

To start, let’s talk about your homepage experience

If I have no background on your product, your hero image doesn’t sell it. Maybe it’s changing the text from “Say Hi to your new beauty you” to “Get behind the LED mask that revolutionized facials.” Obviously, I don’t know your product as well as you do, but you get the point. Make it clear what it does.

While on the homepage, use your heatmap. Specially, look at your scroll heatmap (to see how far people scroll) and the click heatmap (to see where people are clicking). You’re looking for what they’re doing on your homepage, and what’s motivating them to scroll and/or click.

Your pop-up is a huge red flag

Popups tend to be hit or miss with visitors on a good day, but yours is a huge red flag.

  1. You don’t add value to the sign up. You have to explain why they would want to receive any offers in the first place. They aren’t sure if they want to buy your product. You have to do more to build their interest.
  2. The phone number is a huge no-no. Visitors are already leery of giving you their email address. But phone number? No way. Even though you explained that you could absolutely stop the texts, no one is going to give you their phone number.

Work on the details

Link your announcement bar and make sure it shows across all pages. Add more value to your newsletter subscription form - what do they get in exchange for their email address? Make sure all of your email addresses are linked. For your Contact Us page, remove the phone number field, and make the form fields more visible. Also, move the Contact Us page to the footer as well.

Analyze your hamburger menu
Since this is your main method of navigation, you have to make sure it’s optimized. You’re missing a page for how it works or a video of someone using it. Testimonials stand out as being just a repeat of customer reviews. Highlight the top few instead of all of them.

Use your click heatmap to see where people are clicking. I would remove the policy pages, Terms of Service and About us from the menu. Leave them in the footer. Search can also be removed since it’s also at the bottom on the hamburger menu.

Use your session recordings to see how people move around. Do they use the hamburger menu? Do they click on it and then move away? If so, you may want to consider running a poll or using a chat invite that triggers just for them.

Redo your product page

As a single product store, you have a different layout than most stores in e-commerce. You also have a huge burden to carry in that you’re promoting a new technology. You have to educate and then inspire them to want to use your product. Your product pages need to reflect that.

  1. The layout with the face mask image takes over the screen. It’s hard to see the price, shipping, etc.
  2. Isn’t shipping free? This is the time to reiterate free shipping
  3. Make the fields for the ordering easier to see. No, you don’t need the drop-down for color.
  4. Tell your visitors more. How do you use it? Are there any general guidelines you suggest? Can you do it too much? You say what it does but not how. As the authority, you now have to show that you know your stuff.
  5. Be very mindful of your grammar and general context. For example, “Yellow light therapy increases immunity and improves redness, fever and ringworm of the skin.” That’s a dangerous statement to say it removes a fever and ringworm.
  6. Keep in mind that your visitors have questions. Be proactive with your chat with chat invites. This is included in all Lucky Orange plans.

You should be proud of how much work you’ve put into this store, and you are on the right track. Get a little more insight to see why those visitors aren’t converting, and keep on tracking!

I hope this helps! Good luck! If you have any questions, let me know. I would be happy to help.

Cheers - Danny

Hello there i recently checked your store , I will give you credit for designing your store to look that way but there are a lot more to do [REVAMP] on it I wont  talk a lot all you need now is to revamp the look of the store because the first impression matters another thing is that you might not be using the right marketing strategies that go in line with your store

Hello @erikholm

Hope you are doing well.

I understand how it can be frustrating to be doing everything right but still not getting your traffic converted to sales. You may find comfort in knowing that you're not the only one on that boat. Millions of Shopify store owners are facing the same problem. This is not because you are necessarily doing something wrong, but rather because Sales is an organic process, involving people getting to know you, visiting your brand, looking at your products, comparing them with others, and finally making the decision to purchase from you. So this takes some time, during which you have to hold on tight. But, you can't be just passively waiting for sales to grow, so I would recommend you look at these tips and see which ones you can use: You have great faith in your online shop, but why aren’t visitors converting?

Another Thing you could consider: Not all traffic is good traffic.

Traffic will only have any chance of converting to sales if they are being generated by the right consumer. If your product is for females under the age of 30, but your ads are being viewed by males over 50, that is a lot of traffic, but it will never convert to sales. So, before you spend on targeting, a good idea is to have a simple Google Trends search, that will tell you who is looking for the products you search, what is their age, gender and location. Then you can put forward some really targeted ads that are bound to generate clicks.

Here are some areas where you could consider working on

  • A good idea is to have your newsletter as a popup so that it shows up when the customer enters the home page. This will make it more visible and attract more people to your newsletter from where you can target more interested people.

  • People tend to buy more from people they can easily relate to. If you share your journey, your goals, and your aspirations with your customers, it will be easier for people to connect with you. If you can create an emotional connection with your visitors, people are sure to buy products from you.

  • It is a good idea to place a banner on the homepage that tells your customers exactly what they are looking for. You may add a separate banner for each of your product types

Your banner looks very good and matches your theme and product.

It is a good idea to have multiple slides on your banner (each should stay for around 5seconds) for each product type and have the CTA buttons for each slide redirect the customer to a different product page.

Hope this helps you. If you find it useful, leave a like to let me know! Happy Selling! Thank you and the Very Best of Luck to you!
