I recently re-launched www.destinationcarmel.com on Shopify using the "Narrative" theme. Google Search Console has validated the website, all pages working, submitted sitemap, requested indexing, double checked that all of the product fields are accurate and complete....Google Merchant Center sent me a notification that the website has violated their editorial policy and subsequently suspended our account. Also received an email stating that Google is unable to index my site as it is "parked". I've added the Robot.txt code to the theme as well....
ANY IDEAS ON WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Damn it's hard to find products on your site!
But anyway, doesn't look parked to me. GMC policy violations are a bit black box, just start a request for review and say "false positive, not parked, this is a live ecom site".
A great start is to check this checklist: https://community.shopify.com/c/Ecommerce-Marketing/Checklist-Suspended-Google-Merchant-Center-Accou...
Yeah, I need to fix that, lol.
Last night I cleared then re-pointed the DNS to the site. This morning my site is out of Google jail. And you are absolutely correct in that policy violations are a bit black box.
