Have Traffic, Adds to Cards but LOW conversion rate.

Hi, 

 

Please, help to analyze my website https://exteasy.shop/ - we are a lingerie brand, I tried to change theme and design of the website several times. Doing an annual sale with extremely low prices, free shipping, target ads but still have low conversion. For 30 days period I have 1100 visitors 28 Added to Card/ 6 Checkout / 4 Converted. 

Target Ads are running for a week I dont want to lose budget. Please, help to analyze what is wrong.

Hi ExteasyLingerie,

 

I would go for a dark background, also blue is a calming colour, you want something that makes you more passionate, red or purple tends to be a good color for a secondary colour. I feel that you should have a big banner as you scroll in, as it's like a sneek peek so there's some anticipation.

 

What avatar are you going for? from the Lingerie it seems more men buying things for their women. It would be great to see some personality of your brand is it a woman that has fun, that she's outside in her fur coat and suddenly she flashes you and runs off giggling. Is she punk, what music does she listen to? Since even though it's getting brought for other people that person buying wants that personality (if I buy this I will be like that women or she will be more like that). 

 

The text for the links up above aren't complimentary to your beautiful calligraphy, you might either find a font that is similar or has a bolder look to it so then it stands out, the same on your buy page. One thing I would also add is most women are not size 10 so you might need to stock bigger sizes also you might have to include if that is a US size 10 since sizing is different.

Thank you very much for your reply! Unfortunately, the previous version of my store looked exactly as you described - dark background, photos on the models in real life environment, reviews, testimonials, different collections - but the conversion rate was still very low, so we decided to test more minimalistic design. 

Also, now we have more Adds to Cards - but they are also not converting 😞 so that should not be the sizing problem, please share your thoughts what else that could be?

Hi ExteasyLingerie,

 

You can do A and B testing on pages and home page so you can see that in real time, there is a lot of shopify apps that will help with that but do you have any photos of your old website for comparison? Since there can be a lot of problems that you might not see that are turning the customers off. 

 

If you are catering for men they aren't going to know the sizing for their women, so you could have a guarantee that you can switch if for a different sizing if not worn. Or add more one size fits all sizing, This is what I mean what is your avatar, who you selling to and what is your personality of your brand?

 

Also if they are in the cart you don't know why they are abandoning it, do you have any retargeting in place through ads and emails?

2. Logo Should of more high quality.

The homepage is the first landing page your customers will see after opening the website. You can include an attractive home banner with video or slider. 

1. Add Featured Products Section with small sizes so that large varieties can be showcased.

2. Featured Products / all Title should be Optimized and Seo Friendly.

3. Add Meta Description for all Products.

4.Highlight the USP of your Products or services in more attractive way.

5. Add a Lead magnet section on Home Page
6. If Possible, add Instagram Feed on Home page

7.Add Sticky Cart Icon on Home Page.

8.Customer Reviews are needed on the Home Page and on the Product Page. This also generates trust in your site and promotes sales.

9.Footer must be compact and informative and should contain all the important links like - About us, Our Story, Contact, Privacy Policy, Return Policy, Terms of Services, FAQ.

Add Featured Product / Collections Section like this.

 

Collection and Product Page:
- Add Product Review on Collection Pages
- Add Sticky add to Cart and Buy now Button for quick checkout.

- Add Related Products.
- Add Trust Badges below add to cart or Buy now Button
- All Product size should be same size

- Add Product Badges like New, 10% Off, You Save 20$ or Free Shipping by highlighting the offer.

 

Conversion rate optimization techniques:

- Introduce the discount coupons and various offers on purchases.

- Time reservation on cart page to get faster conversions.

-More upselling and cross selling on product and cart pages to increase average order value.                                        

SPEED Optimization:

  1. Your site might be in need of Optimization too. As per Google Insights, your site scores 35 which means that attention is required here.80% visitors are mobile users, so it becomes very important to optimize the mobile speed. A well-optimized site rates 60+ This affects your SEO ranking and decides how many customers/visitors view or find your website. This is especially important if you don't want to invest in advertisements.

Speed optimization is required to increase sales and traffic. Also, if your speed is not good, your website ranking will definitely fall.

The Header says free us shipping. You can change that to free shipping in the u.s.a up to you and have you tried google ads.
