Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello Shopify community,
I launched my online toy store this month, and while I know it is a slow January for many I am still confused as to why I cannot convert the vast majority of my site visitors. Would kind souls please take a look and give me some solid feedback as to what steps I may be missing? Couple things to preface:
-I know I have limited product listed and the challenge that poses. I am bootstrapping this business so bear with me while I build capital for my next product set.
-I am consistently running social media ads and getting very good traffic from those considering how new the site is, with most landing directly on my product pages...and still very VERY few conversions. 100+ sessions today and no sales. Any advice as to what you may see as lacking or missing from these pages would be so helpful, thank you.
I genuinely would like to know what could be improved, and I thank you in advance for any gentle insight you can send my way. Every day I am striving to improve! Site below:

Congrats on starting your store, it looks good!
Here are my suggestions:
-Homepage banner and announcement bar could be improved. Particularly the size could be better so that it all fits on the screen.
-Your homepage content (icons, buttons, etc) should link to products or something else in your store, currently only the banner button is clickable, you want navigation as fast and easy as possible for customers.
-I think a video of your product being used somewhere on your site would make a great addition.
-The bottom of your product pages, that text section needs more bottom padding and alignment looks odd.
-Overall more elements could be added, and the existing ones adjusted to better represent your brand and make it more visually appealing.
-You could also consider trying influencer marketing using a platform like Youtube, Tiktok etc
Hope that is helpful to you!

Your feedback helped so much, thank you! I added a video on the homepage in the hopes it would strengthen my brand, and after some agonizing hours I added linked pages to additional copy about sensory play and my brand's story. Your advice was very insightful and I tried my best to put it into action. Thank you!
Hi @ValiaCo,
This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder app.
Based on my experience, your store looks fantastic with its stunning images, easy navigation, and clear text. Drawing from my extensive knowledge in CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization), I would like to recommend a few suggestions to enhance your conversion rates:
1. Strengthen the Story of Your Brand
The concept of sensory play is both appealing and tactile, which is excellent for resonating with parents and subsequently converting them into customers. If you plan to sell more items in the future, consider making “sensory play” a consistent theme in your business.
At this stage, it would be beneficial to show and tell visitors more about the “sensory factors”.
For example, in your hero banner, consider displaying images of children interacting with the rolls or parents and their children making cookies. Currently, the image in your hero banner reveals little about the roll or sensory play. As a buyer, I might mistakenly think you are selling playdough.
You are doing great here, showing the benefits of sensory play and children engaging with the toys. Think about illustrating how parents can play with their children to strengthen family bonds.
Adding a section about your brand and story can be impactful. Sharing your journey can touch customers' hearts, which in turn, helps with conversions. For instance:
2. Combine benefits into 1 section
To avoid distracting visitors, consider consolidating these benefits into a single section.
3. Double-check the information on your product page
Product details are crucial. They reflect the professionalism of your store. On the Pond Nature Rollers (set of six), some product information needs correction, such as:
4. Add FAQs section
Since sensory play might be a novel concept to some, incorporating an FAQs section on your product page could address common concerns related to the product. For example
Continue your excellent work and remain patient. Hope my opinions can help you in your journey.

Oh my goodness, thank you for your very encouraging and detailed critique! I found your advice very helpful. I worked through the night to implement as much of your advice as I could, and I'll continue tweaking as needed once I get more sleep, ha. I really do mean it when I say your feedback helped so much. I am still stumped as to how to customize the product details to each individual product, but I think I will crack that soon (metafields, maybe?) Thank you for pointing that out...I had edited not realizing it affected all products.
Additional site imagery is coming in as I can plan shoots, so thank you for that feedback as well. Shopify is the most helpful community and I am grateful. Onward!

Hi @ValiaCo,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. This is MooseDesk - All-in-one Shopify Ticketing System App
Congrats on your new store! I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building this. I love your idea about Sensory Toys, and I truly believe that simple tools are the best we can offer kids in this overstimulated world we live in. However, I have some comments to make the good get even better. Here are some of my recommendations for better conversion rate, please kindly check.
1. Hero Section:
2. Header Section
3. Add Cart icon
4. Add FAQ Section
5. Footer Section
6. Customer Support
Sometimes, self-service channel might not be efficient to address all the concerns of your customers. That is when you need your support team with a communication channel. There are many apps that can help you integrate a help widget on your page where users can submit their requests to your team.
If you are also looking for a ticket management system, you can give MooseDesk a try. MooseDesk is currently FREE for all early birds with 24/7 dedicated support, which would help you answers all the questions and explain why MooseDesk is suitable for your business.
