Help please, running out of options

I have had my store for around 6 months and despite having around 10 visits a day, i have only had 2 sales.  I have run facebook campaigns before which raised visitors but no sales.

Have tried a bunch of things, but nothing seems to be working.

So i am wondering if something is wrong with my store?  Any help appreciated.

Thanks all, link below.

Hi @BdayGiftIdeas ,

It sounds like there's room to refine shopper experience on your site.

Rather than package all product categories under "Shop Now," consider expanding the navigation to spotlight different items, helping visitors more easily find what they’re after.

Improving the design and placement of your logo could bolster brand recognition.

Your homepage hero can also be improved with a clear call-to-action. Also, you'll need to fix the destination URL as the link doesn't go anywhere.

Finally, explore adding filters to narrow down options for customers.

Good luck!

Hi @BdayGiftIdeas  Thank you for reaching out with your concerns regarding your store. I understand the frustration of having consistent traffic but low conversion rates. After analyzing your situation, I would like to offer some insights and recommendations that could potentially help improve your sales performance.

  1. User Experience (UX): Ensure that your store provides a seamless and intuitive shopping experience. This includes easy navigation, clear product descriptions, high-quality images, and fast loading times.
  2. Trust Signals: Incorporate trust badges, customer reviews, and clear return policies to build credibility.
  3. Mobile Optimization: Ensure your store is fully optimized for mobile devices, as a significant portion of shoppers use their phones to make purchases.
  4. Compelling Descriptions: Write engaging and detailed product descriptions that highlight the benefits and unique features of your products.
  5. High-Quality Images: Use multiple high-quality images from different angles to give customers a comprehensive view of the product.
  6. Competitive Pricing: Compare your prices with competitors to ensure they are competitive.
  7. Promotions and Discounts: Offer attractive discounts and promotions to entice visitors to make a purchase.
  8. Target Audience: Re-evaluate your target audience for Facebook campaigns to ensure you are reaching potential customers who are interested in your products.
  9. Email Marketing: Implement email marketing campaigns to re-engage visitors who have shown interest in your products.
  10. Coupon Discount on Cart App: I highly recommend using the Coupon Discount on Cart app for your Shopify store. By displaying available discount coupons directly on the cart page, customers are more likely to complete their purchases, as they feel they are getting a better deal. It simplifies the discount application process, making it easier for customers to apply discounts without having to search for codes. Offering tiered discounts can encourage customers to add more items to their cart to qualify for higher discounts, increasing your average order value.

I would be happy to conduct a more detailed analysis of your store and provide personalized recommendations. Please let me know if you would like to discuss this further or if there are any specific areas you need more help with.

Best regards,

Ina

Hi @BdayGiftIdeas ,

I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.

I would be happy to review your website and provide feedback on the performance.

Here are my recommendations to improve your conversion rate:

Your website isn’t effectively converting visitors into buyers despite your advertising efforts. Without seeing your ads, I can’t offer detailed recommendations on your landing page. However, here are some suggestions from Databox that you might find useful. You can read more in their article.

“When the click-through rate (CTR) is high but the conversion rate is low, it usually indicates an issue with the landing page. This is often due to a lack of effective calls-to-action (CTAs). To address this, create a clear CTA, such as a "Buy Now" or "Read More" button. This CTA can be a clickable image with a small amount of text or a simple button.”

  1. Monitor Your Cart Abandonment Rate

Additionally, a high cart abandonment rate can be particularly frustrating for your business, especially after investing significantly in attracting visitors to your site. This issue indicates that many potential customers are deciding not to complete their purchases, contributing to low conversion rates.

To address this, you can remind customers about the items left in their carts and encourage them to complete their purchases by:

  • Email Reminders: Send emails to customers who abandon their carts, reminding them of their items.
  • Incentives: Offer a discount or free shipping to motivate them to finalize their purchases.
  • For more detailed guidance, refer to an article from the Shopify Help Center

  1. Improve SEO

Taking the time to ensure your web pages are properly optimized can help increase your organic traffic, meaning more potential customers browsing your products. SEO strategies can drive site traffic to your Shopify website effectively.

For an average small e-commerce store, you should get at least 1000 visitors per month to start having a stable source for sales.

Here are some basic elements you should check:

Title Tags & Meta Descriptions:

  • Each page should have unique, descriptive title tags and meta descriptions.
  • Include relevant keywords without overstuffing.

You can also check this SEO checklist by Shopify to learn more about optimizing your e-commerce store and blog. This will boost your online presence and bring more traffic to your website.

  1. Improving the speed and performance on mobile

  • I checked your website performance on PageSpeed Insights - a Google tool that measures the website performance and found that scores on mobile, where a high number of the traffic is coming from, is around 4x  while the performance score on mobile should ideally be above 6x.

  • Slow loading speeds affect various aspects related to user behavior and business outcomes, ultimately leading to lower conversion rates. Here is some suggestion:
  • For Shopify stores, the following are several factors that impact website performance
    • Store theme
    • The apps installed
    • Any additional third-party code you’ve manually added to your store, including tag managers and the tags within them
  • Here are some tips that you can use to improve your site performance:

I hope some of my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback.

Good luck!
