you can see in this picture i have added 3 options, the first one should select one product, second one buy 2 selects 3 costs like to and the third one buys 5. how can i make this a working thing with the discount and all because right now when i select one and press add to cart it always adds one and if i were to change the quantity i think it would still be very expensive more than it should be

Yeah thats what i did but when i select my buy 2x button then press add to cart its telling me the price in the cart and all which is nice but the quantity in the cart says 1 and same for the buy 3 get 4. appreciate the help

Try using the 'MS CustomSize Price Calculator' from the Shopify App store and see if this helps you out. The reason I'm saying this is because the app allows you to set custom prices depending on the quantity.

Hi

This is a common issue for our users where they have a master stock product which is then linked to multiple other products. The way to manage inventory is to bundle each product or variation that uses the master SKU. As Shopify doesn't have native bundles you would need to use a bundle app to achieve this.

Our bundle app has 2 main features that would help you in this set up:

1. Inventory Management

Bundleup lets you connect up products to correct SKUs and we then update their inventory based on the component stock level. So if your scenario the multipacks would be calculated based on the stock level of the single variation. When one sells they will all update accordingly.

2. Order Fulfilment

When you sell one of the packs the master stock level won't reduce automatically. What Bundleup does is update the order post purchase by replacing the order line with the component SKUs as order lines which then reduces stock. This then feeds into point 1 above where it updates all linked products.

We also offer a bulk csv file upload option so it is quicker to map all your gift sets to correct SKUs.

that really sounds great and it seems to have exactly what im looking for, unfortunately im kinda on a tight budget doing this so i wont be able to buy it now but in the future if everything doesnt flop i know what to do

What you have is fine as if you have an option for a 5 pack and set a specific price for it then when you receive an order the order line will show you that it was a 5 pack that was purchased. It is 1 x 5 pack and buyers understand that as it is a common thing to do. You don't need to set discounts as your 5 pack is set to a specific price which is different from your other options.

The only time you would need an app is if you want to do things like track inventory but otherwise you should be fine with the native functions.

i really didnt think of that, it is showing how many of the selected pack you want to buy, thats the exact way i would have wanted it, thank you for the help
