Hello,

I created my Shopify store 6 months ago and the store is ranking well for some keywords. However, I haven’t had much success making conversion. I have had 8.23k session with a low conversion rate of 0.28%.

what could be putting off potential customers? I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you,

Hi @Blackgold  , thank you for posting here!
I wanted to share some general feedback for your store and tips on traffic and conversion with you here that you might find useful:
1. Redesign the Homepage
I noticed that your homepage needs a hero image to provide an overview of what your store offers and the value it brings to customers. The hero page is a vital part of an e-commerce store; when visitors see it, they will decide whether to continue browsing or leave your store. Additionally, you should add a CTA button on the hero page like "Shop now" or "Grab the deal today" to encourage them to click and start shopping at your store.

2. Redesign the concept of store
I noticed that your store sells a product line with relatively high prices related to the automotive mobility industry. Therefore, when I look at your store, I feel that the concept and theme you are using are not really appropriate, and customers may not feel confident enough to purchase your products.
For example, You can refer to some of the templates below that will be more suitable for your product industry:
quote-image-storefront-product-drilled-discs-awesome-gti.webp

3. Add key USPs section with key icons
Your current homepage lacks key information about products. It may increase the bounce rate as users don't find important content they need. Helpful, easy-to-see benefits icons quickly introduce your products' unique selling points, giving a reason to purchase from you instead of the competition.
WizzCommerce_Co_2-1722824611535.png

4. Increase the quality of product image
I noticed that your product image has low quality. Please pay attention to this because your product is expensive so it needs to be professional in high quality in an e-commerce store.

5. Social Proof and Urgency:
Implement social proof elements such as showing how many people are currently viewing a product or recently purchased it.
Use low stock alerts or countdown timers to create a sense of urgency.
=> I highly recommend that you install SnapNoti FOMO Visitor Counter for free for all the above features.

I trust these recommendations will assist in enhancing your website's conversion rate.

Hi @Blackgold

Thanks for reaching out to the community. We are MooseDesk, a comprehensive Live Chat, FAQ & Helpdesk App designed to elevate your customer support experience.

Congrats on your new store! Your store looks stunning. I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building this. Especially the attractive part highlighted on Homepage is Customization with strong call to action, as well as detailed and comprehensive Product Page.

However, I have some comments to make the good get even better. Here are some of my recommendations for better conversion, please kindly check.

__

1.Leading the conversion link in the Hero Banner to purchase

As a user, I have clicked onto “SHOP BY MODEL” and been directed to the next page showing categories, not the products right away. To boost conversion, I suggest you directing to the products right away while the categories (already shown below on the Homepage) can be showned alongside (like the image) or further explored with the tab “Seat Covers”.

Mojo-Marketplace-Themeforest-Alternative.png

 2. Adding CTA link for banner

I see you put the banner “Free Shipping on All Seat Covers! Limited Time Only – Shop Now! at the top of the website that shows a very strong call to action. But for sales boost, you can leverage it to attach the link of product page/discounts/purchase, etc.

3. Make value proposition more noticeable & concise

Value proposition is one of the most important drives of conversion as customers realize the received values from your brand. So it would be nicer if you make this part with more alluring images, bigger font size, centred layout and shorter body text.

4. Make testimonials more noticeable

Like value proposition, testimonials hold such significance to conversion. However, your current testimonials look a bit difficult to comprehend (small size, and unnoticeable color). So, I recommend some changes in those two things to make testimonials “closer to your customers”.

5. Make product images more attractive with your exclusive trademark

Seat covers are mainly about visual & preferences so the efforts into photographing & editing images should be necessary. Also, you can enhance the credibility of your products by attaching your trademark logo to the image.

6. Optimizing the checkout process

I tried checking out but once it seemed to be loading so long, decreasing my purchasing intention. Also, it requires the shoppay account which can be more diverse for customers to choose payments and easily pay the deal.

7. Highlighting Customizing part more

As one of the very attractive strength of your shop is customizing, I recommend you building a whole tab for that service, showcasing the customized images from your customers and some suggested customization options too.

8. Adding FAQ

To make it even better, you could consider adding an FAQ and a "Contact Us" page. These are essential for helping customers quickly find answers or reach out for support, which can significantly enhance their shopping experience.

For an easy solution, I recommend trying MooseDesk App. It provides free, professionally designed FAQ and Contact Us templates with a simple one-click setup that perfect for elevating your store effortlessly!

Hi @Blackgold

You have a great niche, and your pricing reflects its value, so not everyone will be your customer, and that’s okay! Focus on finding the right audience.

Here are some tips for your homepage:

  1. Move featured products right under the hero header to grab attention.

  2. Reduce text in "why customers should choose you" section. Add real photos and reviews here.

  3. You have chat. Let customers contact you directly instead of filling a contact form, especially for custom orders. It's easier for both sides.

  4. Make your review text larger, matching your body text size, so it’s easier to read.

  5. Encourage customers to share photos with their reviews to make reviews be real. If you have reviews on platforms like Google or Trustpilot, display them with direct links so potential clients can verify them.

These tweaks can help engage your customers. And again focus on finding the right audience. Good luck!

Hi @Blackgold

This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder app. You're doing a great job with your store. I noticed the clear layout, good images and easy navigation during my visit.

Drawing from my extensive knowledge in eCommerce development and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization), I'd like to offer a few suggestions to enhance your conversion rates:

1) Building Customer Confidence

PageFlyKate_0-1734053676248.png

Your "Why Choose Us" section wonderfully highlights your strengths. Perhaps we could make it even more impactful by adding some specifics about your premium materials and expert craftsmanship?

2) Enhancing the Shopping Experience

  • I love how you've presented your sale pricing! We might try testing different price presentation methods to see what resonates best with your customers
  • The custom design offer is a wonderful feature! Perhaps we could showcase this amazing service earlier in the customer journey?

3) Making Navigation Even Smoother

The "Shop by Model" button is a great feature - would you consider making it more prominent to help customers find their perfect match more quickly? It can be a sub-heading above the button.

Hope my opinions can help you in your journey.

Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. Hope our expertise can help you with your low conversion rate.

I notice all of your products are set on sale. Instead of relying on constant discounts, trying seasonal promotions can help maintain customer trust and enhance your brand's reputation. Seasonal promotions align with specific holidays or events, creating a sense of urgency that encourages customers to act quickly. For example, limited-time offers during Black Friday or the holiday season can significantly boost sales while building brand awareness at the same time.

In addition, you can consider implementing a loyalty program and retargeting campaigns for your business. A loyalty program can incentivize repeat purchases by offering points for every order, while retargeting ads can remind visitors of the products they viewed, encouraging them to return and complete their purchases addressing abandoned carts with follow-up emails that include incentives like discounts can help convert hesitant visitors.

Best wishes! If you have any more questions or need a free professional consultation, feel free to let us know! Don't forget to like and mark it as a solution if you find this helpful.

hey! with 8.23k sessions, you’re doing great on traffic—now it’s about optimizing for conversions. check your site’s experience: is navigation easy and loading fast? product pages should have high-quality photos, clear benefit-focused copy, and competitive pricing.

add trust signals like reviews or badges, and make sure your checkout is simple with guest options and multiple payment methods. small tweaks here can make a big difference. what’s your niche?

Hi @Blackgold

It sounds like you’re doing great with driving traffic to your Shopify store, but I totally get how frustrating it can be when those sessions don’t translate into conversions. Based on what you've shared, here are some possible reasons why potential customers might not be buying, along with practical suggestions to address them:

1. Unclear Value Proposition

  • Issue: Customers may not immediately understand why they should buy from you instead of competitors.
  • Solution: Ensure your homepage and product pages clearly highlight what makes your store unique—whether it's pricing, quality, free shipping, or exclusive benefits. Use bold headlines and concise text to drive the point home.

2. Poor Website Design or Navigation

  • Issue: If your store feels cluttered, outdated, or difficult to navigate, visitors might leave without exploring.
  • Solution:
    • Make sure your website is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. Use clear menus, consistent fonts, and plenty of white space.
    • Include breadcrumbs to make navigation intuitive.

3. Slow Load Speed

  • Issue: People are impatient online. If your pages take too long to load, visitors may bounce before seeing your products.
  • Solution:
    • Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to check your site speed and fix issues like large images or excessive scripts.
    • Consider using Shopify apps like "TinyIMG" to optimize image sizes.

4. Product Descriptions Lack Conviction

  • Issue: Generic or incomplete product descriptions fail to inspire trust or excitement.
  • Solution: Write persuasive, detailed descriptions that explain what makes the product special and how it will benefit the customer. Use bullet points for key features.

5. Lack of Social Proof

  • Issue: If your store doesn't display reviews, testimonials, or user-generated content, it can make customers hesitant to trust your brand.
  • Solution:
    • Add product reviews using an app like "Loox" or "Judge.me."
    • Highlight customer testimonials or photos in a dedicated section.

6. Pricing Concerns

  • Issue: Your pricing may feel too high compared to competitors or not justified by your product quality.
  • Solution:
    • Offer visible discounts or limited-time deals.
    • Include a comparison chart showing why your products are worth the price.

7. Lack of Clear Call-to-Action (CTA)

  • Issue: Visitors might not know what to do next without a strong CTA.
  • Solution:
    • Use action-oriented buttons like "Add to Cart" or "Shop Now."
    • Ensure CTAs are prominently displayed, even on mobile.

8. Complicated Checkout Process

  • Issue: A long or confusing checkout process can make people abandon their carts.
  • Solution:
    • Enable a guest checkout option.
    • Display trust badges and offer multiple payment options.

9. Mobile Experience Issues

  • Issue: If your site isn’t optimized for mobile, you’re missing out on a huge audience.
  • Solution: Use Shopify’s mobile-friendly themes and test your site on various devices to ensure smooth functionality.

10. Targeting the Wrong Audience

  • Issue: Traffic might not be coming from your ideal customer base.
  • Solution: Analyze your traffic sources in Google Analytics or Shopify Insights. Adjust your marketing efforts to target more relevant audiences using Facebook Ads or Google Ads.

Code Snippet for Trust Signals (If Needed):

To build trust, you can add this HTML snippet for payment icons or secure checkout badges:

<div style="display: flex; justify-content: center; align-items: center;">

  <img src="path-to-trust-badge.png" alt="Secure Checkout" style="width: 100px; margin-right: 10px;">

  <img src="path-to-payment-icon.png" alt="Payment Methods" style="width: 100px;">

</div>

Final Thoughts

Conversion issues often come down to trust, usability, or clarity. Start by identifying which of these factors could be affecting your store. Also, try running surveys or using apps like "Hotjar" to see where visitors are dropping off. Small tweaks can make a big difference over time.

If you need any other assistance, feel free to reply and I will try my best to help.
Best regards,
Daisy
