Hi, I have no favigon in my theme settings. How can I fix this?

I have the code in my editor, but it wont show up.

I need help.

If you do not have the favicon option in your theme settings, you can still add a favicon to your Shopify store by manually adding the code to your theme.

Go to Online Store -> Themes -> Click Action -> Select Edit code
Click Layout -> theme.liquid file
Paste the following code between the <head> tags:
<link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" href="your-favicon-url-here">

Replace "your-favicon-url-here" with the URL of your favicon image. Make sure that the image is a square icon in either .ico, .gif, or .png format, and that it is hosted on a website or server that allows hotlinking.

Save and Preview

Thanks.

I´ve put the link in <head> (see 3) but i still cant find the favicon button in my theme options.

Without the button I can't add a favicon

You can follow the steps below to add the code to add a favicon to your theme:

Go to Online Store -> Themes -> Click Action -> Select Edit code
Click Layout -> theme.liquid file
Paste the following code to the theme.liquid file:

<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="your-favicon-url-here">

Replace "your-favicon-url-here" with the URL of your favicon image. Then you can hit Save and Preview to see the results.

If it still does not work, please contact Shopify's support team or Theme's support team to ask for further assistance in this case.

This is Richard from PageFly - Landing Page Builder. I have just had a look at your store. Having a favicon for your store will make your store unique and help customers easily recognize it.

You can check this article to know how to add it. Or you can follow these steps below to add a favicon to your store:

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Customize.

Click Theme settings.
Click Favicon.
In the Favicon image area, click Select image, and then do one of the following:

To select an image that you have already uploaded to your Shopify admin, click the Library tab.
To select an image from your local computer, click the Library tab, and then click Upload.

Add alt text to your favicon image:

Click Edit.
In the Edit image window, enter a brief description of the image.
Click Save.

Click Save.
