Re: What Should I Improve and in What order?

Solved

How can I enhance my new online store for better efficiency?

I have just set up a new Shopify account. I do not want to do drop shipping and want this to be a brand. For now (and perhaps next 3 weeks) I can have only product (assume that we cannot change this)

What are your recommendations on what I can improve to make my store better and in what order?

I have had 3 sales by spending $240.28 with some not very efficient ads. The 3 sales came from the last $80.

Have had 309 session although only 233 were from the ads (and were probably the legit ones)

Thank you for your time and opinion.

Hi @furthermore, I'm Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder.

I love your website, the design looks really elegant & majestic. It's clear that you've put a lot of thought and effort into creating an online presence. Yet from my Conversion Rate Optimization expertise, I would like to offer some suggestions to help you get more engagement & increase sales.

1. Include Review/Testimonial section into your homepage

I understand your store is new, but just a friendly-reminder, don't forget reviews are essential to the shopping experience. You should add a testimonial section to your homepage to build trust for the brand & enhance the first touch point with your experience. Besides rating stars, consider using text & images to showcase feedback of your first orders.

2. Add a Policies section to your homepage

As the current homepage lacks useful information to keep shoppers exploring your brand & product, consider adding a Policies section with badges and quick links. By providing direct links on those badges, users are more likely to explore additional content or sections of the site. This can lead to increased engagement, as users find it easier to access the information they are interested in. Also, it helps to build trust so they are more likely to make a purchase.

3. Highlight the price information

Shoppers often visit e-commerce websites with the primary intent of finding and comparing prices. You should use another color like red for the sale-off price  to make it stand out. It will meet shoppers' expectations and help them make informed decisions quickly.

4. Update product description structure

Your product description is very lengthy. Consider compressing it into accordions (collapsible content tabs) so that your product pages look better-structured & the shoppers' experience is enhanced.

5. Build shoppable instagram feed

A great way to enhance store visuals & get more chances to increase sales is to create shoppable Instagram feeds on your site. Consider using apps such as VIBE, Instafeed, to showcase stunning Instagram feeds from your own posts, tag products in your photos and reels, & allow your customers to shop right in your Instagram feed.

Thank you so much. I am in the middle of the few things. But in the next 12 hours I carefully review your reply but from a first glance I could see some really valid points. If you do not mind, highlight how easy this would be with your product (just high level) compared to using dawn and/or which product and service from your offering would be suitable for us. So I can review that as well when I get to this.

Hi @furthermore ,

Thank you for your consideration for my feedback. Regarding your concerns, you can customize your theme, and create all the things I mentioned above by using a page builder. I recommend some apps you can use for your website like PageFly, Ecomposer, GemPages, …

Thank you so much!

Hey,

  • Design should be improved to make the site feel more "unique". But enough of that was already said by the other people who answered you.
  • You should focus your efforts on marketing - find your target audience and very specifically target them through social media ads (maybe also Google Ads?).
  • You need to do something about social proof. Currently, it is quite obvious that the reviews are fake, which is worse than having no reviews at all. Try an app like Platoria, which provides you with REAL reviews that customers left on the same product but from different stores.

All the best,

Stan

Hi

1) is there any data backing this up? Like what is the ROI on being unique?

2) Meta ads are doing pretty good for now.

3) That is exactly where the current reviews came from. Manually from the same product sold in another country. I guess they may have faked the reviews.

Thank you 🙂

1) There is probably data on this. Good design definitely improves conversion - there is no doubt in my mind.

2) Obviously, I don't know how exactly your Meta ads are set up. Maybe you are doing it correctly already, but you really need to define your target audience. I just know that many shop owners here ask why their conversion rates are so small, but they are not targeting their ads at all, and 98% of their traffic comes from countries like India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines, etc.

3) It really looks like they faked it, especially if you look at the names of the reviewers 🙂 But maybe I am wrong.

All the best,
Stan

1) I agree with you on new point 1, but I am not sure if uniqueness is going what is needed.

2) We are pretty experienced in this department and to be honest if we increase our shop conversion, things will look pretty solid.

3) Oh I see what you mean, that make sense. I think in general though everything is fake these days.

Btw thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate it
