Hi there, @Rayala504!

Thanks for sharing your query and the link to your store with us here in the Shopify Community.

While we can't determine for you which of your products you should keep on, I can share some tips on why it's a good idea to have a clearly defined product niche and what benefits that can have for your business:

  1. Targeted audience: When you have a clearly defined product niche, you can target a specific group of customers who are interested in that niche. This allows you to create targeted marketing campaigns and attract customers who are more likely to buy from you.

  2. Less competition: By focusing on a specific product niche, you can avoid competing with other stores that sell a wide range of products. This can increase your chances of standing out in the marketplace and gaining more customers.

  3. Brand positioning: A clearly defined product niche can help you position your brand in a unique way. This can create a strong brand image and make it easier for customers to identify your brand and what it stands for.

  4. Increased customer loyalty: When you focus on a specific product niche, you can create a community of customers who love your products and are loyal to your brand. This can lead to repeat business, positive reviews, and word-of-mouth referrals.

In terms of your visitor numbers, could you tell me a little about what you're doing to drive traffic currently?

We would usually advise merchants to focus on increasing this to around 1000 visits per day, though this will vary wildly depending on the business.

There are some free strategies you can consider to drive traffic to your store that you might like to check out also!

  1. Optimize for SEO: Search engine optimization(SEO) is critical to driving traffic to your Shopify store. Optimize your store for keywords related to your products, include meta tags, optimize product descriptions, and make your store mobile-friendly.

  2. Content marketing: Develop valuable and informative content related to your products and market them on social media platforms, blogs, or other industry-related websites. This will generate organic traffic to your store and drive leads.

  3. Social media marketing: Leverage social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest by creating compelling product images or video posts that feature your products. Use targeted ads to increase your reach to your ideal audience.

  4. Influencer marketing: Reach out to popular social media influencers to showcase your products to their followers. This method has proven to be effective in driving relevant and engaged traffic to your site.

  5. Offer promotions and discounts: Create promotions or discounts on your products to attract new customers to your store. You can promote these deals on social media platforms or through email marketing campaigns.

  6. Email marketing: Create a mailing list of subscribers who have expressed interest in your products or signed up to get updates/news. Send newsletters, promotional emails, or follow-up emails to generate more traffic.

Hello @Rayala504,

I am Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot. Hope you are having a good day.

I've taken a look at your store and found there are quite a few things which if added can increase sales.

1. Add a banner or slideshow below the header section which helps the right visitors dive deeper into your website while also weeding out the people who won't find value in what you offer.
2. Add favicon to help visitors locate your page easier when they have multiple tabs open. Also it will add overall branding consistency and their absence might be seen as unprofessional.
3. Add more detailed product description in product pages. The product description should provide visitors with important information about the features and benefits of the product so they are motivated to buy.
St. Padre Pio Host-Hostess Apron – Discount Catholic Store 2023-04-03 04-47-28.png
4. Add Contact Us page for better customer interaction. Also display store's contact info like phone number, email address, and office address in the Contact Us page.
5. Add About Us page which is a reflection of the purpose and personality of the business.
6. Add average ratings for each product
Including both user rating and number of ratings on the products will help users to make decision whether to buy your product or not.
7. Add sticky header
Adding sticky header allow users to quickly access the navigation, search, and utility-navigation elements without scrolling up to the top of the page. They increase the discoverability of the elements in the header and the chance that users will take advantage of them.
8. Add more blogs in the store
Blogging is an amazing way to drive traffic to your website and increase your SEO. The more your blog, the more content the search engines have to crawl and index. This means they can easily recognize that your site is a resource of information for people to access.
9. The pages like
https://discountcatholicstore.com/pages/terms-conditions and https://discountcatholicstore.com/pages/faq don't have any content.

Hello @Rayala504,

I checked your website and honestly speaking there are lots of improvements needed to make your store professional and trustworthy.

  • Navigation menu should be compact and concise
  • Hero section is missing
  • No brand story
  • Product description
  • Shipping information is missing
  • Footer section is too compact
  • Need to remove "Powered by Shopify"

These are just the major ones, there are even more things you need to resolve to boost your conversion. Also, let me know if I can help you in any ways!!

Thanks,
Sagarika.

Hi @Rayala504,

This is Richard from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App

Here are my suggestions for the Homepage & Product page which will likely increase the chances of getting sales and optimize conversion rates for your store.

Homepage

1. Use sticky header

A sticky header can help improve website conversions by keeping the most important elements of a webpage visible and easily accessible, which can help encourage users to take action or complete a desired task.

PageFlyRichard_0-1680507040187.png

2. Add a section for Unique Selling Points (USPs)

USPs can help increase brand awareness by giving customers a clear and memorable reason to choose your product or service over others in the market. For example:

PageFlyRichard_1-1680507040391.png

I suggest you can place the section following this image.

PageFlyRichard_2-1680507040291.png

3. Add a favicon

A favicon can help increase brand recognition by providing a visual representation of a brand that appears in the browser tab, making it easier for users to identify and remember the website.

PageFlyRichard_3-1680507040258.png

4. Includes quick Add to cart buttons on the product lists

It will save customers time if they want to purchase the product immediately rather than go to the product detail page.

PageFlyRichard_4-1680507040272.png

5. Site speed

Pagespeed is extremely crucial for both buyer’s experience and Google ranking, so you could consider Shopify themes made to help you boost Google pagespeed score for your store such as Blum, Refresh, Dawn…

Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.

Good luck and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Richard | PageFly

Thank you @PageFly-Richard I am thinking of switching my design to one of those three themes that you mentioned. Since you were able to glance at my store and considering I have over 6,000 products, which theme do you suggest?

Hi @Rayala504,

Thank you so much for paying your interest toward my answer. I hope it helps you to organize your store.

Refresh and Dawn are Shopify free themes - they have a clean and transparent UX/UI. If you're on a tight budget, you can consider these options. However, free themes may not have as many features or customization options.

Blum is a paid Shopify theme. The theme comes with more features and customization options than free themes. It was created first and foremost to work perfectly with mobile devices. Because it's a paid theme so it'd be more likely to be updated regularly and have better support from the developers 24/7. You can also try its unlimited free trial before purchasing.

Feel free to ask me if you still have other questions. Hope you have a wonderful day ahead!

When it comes to having a large number of products, there are a few things to keep in mind in order to improve your visitor's experience. Here are some likes and dislikes to consider:

Likes:

  • Having clear and detailed product descriptions
  • Organizing products into categories and subcategories
  • Offering filters to help visitors narrow down their search
  • Providing high-quality product images from multiple angles
  • Offering user reviews and ratings

Dislikes:

  • Having too many products that are similar or redundant
  • Products with vague or incomplete descriptions
  • Products that are out of stock or discontinued
  • Slow website loading times due to large number of products
  • Difficult navigation due to cluttered categories and subcategories

Based on your current number of visitors, it may be beneficial to start by analyzing your website's analytics to see which products are the most popular and which are rarely viewed. This can help you prioritize which products to keep and which to remove. Additionally, consider implementing user feedback surveys or A/B testing to gather more specific feedback on product descriptions, organization, and overall website usability.

Hello @Rayala504

Your Shopify storefront looks excellent and is easy to navigate. However, after analyzing your website thoroughly, we’ve noticed some minor improvements that can help you increase your sales and attract more customers.

  • Favicon is missing: It's important to note that the design of your website is good overall, but some minor issues need to be addressed. For example, your website lacks a favicon, a small icon appearing in the browser tab. This small change can improve the user experience and make your website more visually appealing.

  • Build Trust: It’s essential to build trust with your customers. One way to do this is by displaying your products' certifications and badges of trust and authenticity. This can help reassure customers that they buy genuine products and increase their confidence in your brand.

  • Use High-Quality Images - Clear and high-quality images are crucial in selling your products. Currently, the images used on your website are low quality and don't showcase your products well. By using clear, high-quality images, you can help customers better visualize your products and increase their likelihood of purchasing.

  • Revamp the Hero Section- The hero section of your website could benefit from a redesign. This is the first thing customers see when they visit your website, and making an excellent first impression is essential. By redesigning this section and making it more visually appealing, you can attract more customers and increase your sales.

  • More CTAs, please - Adding more calls to action (CTAs) throughout your website can encourage customers to take action and purchase. This could include adding CTA buttons on your featured collection pages and throughout your website to encourage customers to learn more about your brand.

  • Customer testimonials - Customer testimonials are a powerful tool for building trust with potential customers. Your customer testimonials section doesn’t seem to load correctly.  By displaying testimonials on your website, you can showcase the positive experiences that other customers have had with your products and increase the likelihood of new customers purchasing.

  • Rewrite product description - A well-written product description is crucial in helping customers understand your products and make informed purchasing decisions. By rewriting your product descriptions to be more engaging and informative, you can better showcase the unique features of your products and increase the likelihood of customers making a purchase.

  • Speed Optimization - Optimizing your website for search engines (SEO) and speed can help improve your website's visibility and user experience. By implementing SEO best practices and optimizing your website for speed, you can increase your website's ranking on search engine results pages and improve the user experience for your customers.

  • Fuel Social Commerce - Linking your social media handles, such as Instagram, can help drive traffic to your website and increase your online presence. Promoting your products on social media can attract new customers and build a loyal following for your brand.

Apart from it, you need to check the following points, which can likely be affecting your sales. Check the same for your store and address the issues if the case is so.

  • Limited payment options: If a merchant only accepts a limited number of payment options, it can turn away potential customers who prefer alternative payment methods.

  • High shipping costs: If the shipping costs are too high, it can deter customers from completing their purchase, especially if they can find similar products with lower shipping costs elsewhere.

  • Lack of targeted marketing: If you are not effectively targeting your ideal customers through advertising, social media, email marketing, or other channels, it can be difficult to generate sales.

By addressing these areas of improvement, you can increase your website's effectiveness in selling your products and attracting more customers.

We hope this feedback is helpful, and if you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Best of Luck!
