How can I improve my new Golf Gadgets e-commerce site?

I just created my first business "Golf Gadgets" on Shopify. I am very early in the learning process when it comes to e-commerce. I would like some feedback on my website golfgads.com. I've received a pretty good chunk of visitors to my site the first day but no sales yet! Still adding products, but again, would like feedback on the overall design and navigation ease of my site.

1. Have a favicon for your store

This makes your store look unique and professional. You can learn more about it here https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/images/add-favicon

 

2. CTA buttons

A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store.

With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, or a product page, etc.

It’s great when you have a “Shop all” button on your banner. A CTA button here will urge visitors to make the purchase and it is a great way to optimize your home page.

But it's better if you add a background color to the button so it can be highlighted.

And, please rest assured that all CTA buttons should have the same styling to boost the conversion rate. 

 

3. Increase spacing inside product list

This helps your store outlook be more professional and aesthetic. If possible, please adjust 2 products per row to avoid too much white spacing in the 2nd row as of now.

And, I'd like to suggest you style the product titles to be different from the product prices as well.

 

4. Add testimonials - customer reviews

Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers' trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos.

 

Furthermore, for the upcoming Valentine's Day, will you run any campaigns? Here are some promotion ideas for your campaigns, I hope they will be useful for you.

 

1. Personalize Your Offer for Valentine's Day

Gift-giving is almost like a ritual on Valentine’s day. You can make the most out of it by offering products around Valentine's theme.

  • If you already have products that people buy on Valentine’s Day, give them a little touch of love. It doesn’t matter if you’re selling a digital or a physical product.
  • If you don’t have a physical product, you can still curate special Valentine's Day offers around your services that can be used on Valentine’s Day like “two for one” or “buy one, get one” deals. 

 

2. Mention Your Delivery Time & Rates Clearly

Delivery time is one of those things that can make or break your business. And if it’s some holiday, buyers take the delivery dates too seriously. To convert these visitors into potential buyers, mention your delivery dates clearly across your website, app, and emails. Also, specify the last date to place an order to reach on time.

3. Create Gift Guides

As mentioned earlier, Valentine’s Day is the season of gift-giving. But, when it comes to finding a perfect gift, people have what’s called a perpetual dilemma. 

You can do this by making Valentine's day gift guide. Break the guide into sections based on gender, interests, or personality traits like this: 

  • By Category: Valentine’s Day gifts for her/him, couples, teenagers
  • By Price Range: Best Valentine’s Day gift under $25, $50, $100
  • By Interest: Gift ideas for art lovers, dog lovers, and foodies

I wasn’t able to access your store for some reason but here are some general suggestions you could find helpful nonetheless.

1) Having customer reviews on your store is a sure fire way to entice more customers as it brings a much more convincing angle to your sales strategy. You should ensure to have some quality ones on your page.

2) An ‘About Us’ page and a FAQ page should both be on the homepage. These two would help tend to the curious natures of certain kinds of customers.

  • Favicon is missing.
  • The banner image is quite big.
  • Refresh your website logo design.
  • The customer is not enabled from checkout settings.
  • The home page design should be improved.
  • Improve the overall design of your website to make it professional and user-friendly.
  • Your speed is slow, it must be improved for better conversions.
