@OneCommerce - Thank you so much for the feedback!  I have removed those 3 "blurbs" that were fairly useless I think 🙂 ... you are right - adding CTA buttons is my next thing to do; when I tried to add the default ones, the look was not exactly great so I'm not working to correct that.  Love the idea of a promotion!  Thank you so very much for your feedback!

Greetings to you @vdnlingerie , firstly congratulations on launching your new store it’s no easy task and hopefully it marks the beginning of a successful journey! I have some suggestions for your store which I hope can help with this.

1) You should insert some categories on the homepage for various descriptions to catch the attention of your customers such as for best selling products and newest arrivals in your store. 
2) You should create accounts on various social media platforms and provide them on the homepage. This is very crucial as social media marketing cannot be understated in the current atmosphere of sales and shopping.

3) Your store is a newly opened one so you have two major goals - to attract first time customers and make them stay. For this purpose, you could make use of various subscriptions to draw them in and keep them shopping in your store long term. A great tool to help you along with this is the Seal Subscriptions App. This app would basically help handle this task for you and you can give it a better look here https://apps.shopify.com/seal-subscriptions

Hi @Rayshuggs - very good point about social media.  I have some already - including a facebook page (I needed one for my facebook advertising campaign which is currently running) and I also have an instagram page - "vdnlingerie" I need to update it and may be at some point in time also create an instagram ad campaign to drive more traffic to the store not only through facebook but also through instagram!  thank you!

Hello,

 

Have you ever optimized your store on mobile mode? I think the traffic will more likely come from mobile phones.

 

I think the title of "A Taste of Our Collection" and the following paragraph is not necessary. The product pictures say louder than words. 

 

But the pictures in the collection section are too big in size, This section should within a screen.

 

Putting a video of other brand is strange. It does no good for your own brand but a distraction. And it's 19 mins long. It will definitely drag down your website's loading speed.

 

The last is the background color. Black creates a sense of mystery, but all-black goes overboard. FYI.

@Dolores-GSP - hello!  thank you for all your suggestions.  I have removed the video - I wanted to make my site a bit more "dynamic" but you are right - and therefore I have corrected that.  Very clear point about the all-black background.  I turned it to white and I think it actually looks much better, so thank you for that recommendation as well!  I also removed "a taste of our collection" - instead, I have simply added 4 items from each of my collections to make potential customers interested.  I have yet to add CTA buttons and also work a bit more on my descriptions.   Thank you for all your feedback!

Looking into your online store, I noticed that you are using the announcement bar on the homepage. What do you think about utilizing the announcement to inform your customers of any ongoing free shipping offers or discount codes available. It is a great way to create a buyer incentive to get your visitors browsing through the available collections.

 

I did take note that you do not currently have a favicon set for your website. A favicon is a small square image that represents a website in web browser tabs. If you take a look at the top tab bar of your browser right now, I’m sure you’ll see several favicons! Typically, favicons feature a logo, the first letter of the company name or simply an image that reflects the specifics of the website it represents. Adding a favicon to your online store can help strengthen your brand and add a polished look to your website. You can click on this link to read instructions on how to create and add your own favicon your store.

 

Keep in mind that these images are displayed quite small, so it's good to keep in mind that the image you use should be readable at small sizes.

Hi @Ollie - yes, the favicon is a recurring suggestion by the community!  I will definitely work on that.  Thank you as well for the link - it does say that it timed out though and i can't seem to load it but i have also read on the site that there may be some technical difficulties?  I'll patiently wait until I'm able to access the url!  thanks again!

@flareAI - thank you so much for the feedback.  The addition of a favicon has been mentioned in a few places so will make sure to do that.  Great thought about the FAQ section; definitely something that made itself into my list of things to add.  I also believe it helps out with Google SEO.. so that will definitely be done.  Blogging is a great idea as well - was already thinking of a few topics...
