Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi everyone, I opened my store 1-2 days ago(13th). My target audience is the 15-35-year-old streetwear audience who likes exploring their creative outlets. https://superlovemania.com/
Context...not trying to bore you with a life story: This is my first online store, so the learning curve is steep. Note: I've started doing low-cost Facebook and Instagram ads. Plus working on my TikTok account...I'm hidden but trying/learning, lol. Any suggestions on groups, sites, and mentors are much appreciated. Thank you! 🙌🏽
Hi @tulame
Thank you for sharing your site with us! I love the style you are going for and your feature models are really cute too.
I definitely get that starting your first online store can be a lot to take in, those first few months are always a lot of learning, a lot of questions, and a lot of searching on the internet for answers.
Shopify has a huge collection of free learning content available that can guide you through the initial setup process and help you better understand what makes an online store successful. I recommend taking a look at these links when you have some time:
How to Design Your Online Store (with Zero Design Experience)

One thing that is always really important is making the customer understand the value of your product and why they should purchase from you. No different then if you were at a booth or running a retail store in person, you need to make sure you are pitching your items in a way that gets the customer's attention.
I know your collection is small still, which is totally fine! You can lean into that experience and take the time to really highlight why you chose these specific items for your collection. You also want to drive home the fact that these items are limited time only as the collection refreshes every month. The collection refresh is also a great opportunity to suggest for newsletter sign ups as well!
And don't forget to make regular duplicates of your theme as you are building out your store! Duplicates of your theme are great for making design changes without publishing them and also having safe recovery points in case some app or coding change messes up the store.
