Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi there, I recently opened a website where I tried to put some of my passions, books, some of design work and new projects (fairy tales).
It is important to me that all of this finds the place on one website, and I tried to separate it. To me, all of it is connected, because I am doing design and writing, and I am not sure if this was the best idea.
I did everything even though I am not a web designer. There are some features in the theme (basic) I still need to explore how to do it, but I would appreciate you feedback and suggestions.
Thanks so much.
Hi @DanaS_
This is Richard - CRO Expert at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.
Congrats on your new store! Your store looks stunning and professional, and I can tell you've put in a lot of effort. From my CRO expertise, I’d love to give you my suggestions as hereby:
HOME PAGE
1> Change the content of the announcement bar
Typically, you could use the announcement bar to promote sales, limited-time offers, discount codes, new products, collections etc.
You could also link your announcement bar with some product collection you want your visitors to access.
2> Add a call-to-action button to the hero banner.
You could consider creating a slideshow to exhibit some of your featured collections or include a call-to-action button that directs people to your collection website.
3> Have a Secondary Hover Images:
There are few strategies you can use for your secondary hover images:
Secondary hover images will help customers see different views of the products so that they can easily gain trust and make Buying decisions.
4> Add more Add to cart buttons
The Add to Cart button is the most critical thing we recommend you include. Users will be able to fill up their shopping carts in one session and then complete the purchase transaction without entering the product page. It will undoubtedly increase your conversion.
PRODUCT PAGE
1> Have at least 3-5 product images for all products to facilitate a visual evaluation
In practice, most product types require at least 5 product photographs — and practically none should have fewer than 3 — to honor a user's intense concentration on product images and requirement to undertake a visual inspection of the product.
2> Include Both the User Rating Average and Number of Ratings
When it comes to online shopping, customer reviews are crucial. PageFly makes adding testimonials and product reviews to your page an ease.
3> Display a minimum of 5-6 reviews by default, with the ability to “Load More”
As previously mentioned, reviews are extremely significant when making a "Buying" decision; hence, showing 5-6 reviews as defaults will not only increase your brand's credibility, but will also keep the page responsive.
4> Add recently-viewed section
You might consider giving all users (including those who aren't signed in) access to a history-based recently viewed things list, and allowing them to change it. For a variety of reasons, users may desire to revisit previously seen content.
For example, throughout both mobile and desktop testing, people frequently wanted to return to a product they'd seen before simply to reevaluate it after having looked at and rejected other options. Users will become bored and dissatisfied if it is too difficult to refind previously viewed things, and they may decide not to buy anything at all.
*** Additionally, with Mother's Day 2023 fast approaching, also ranked as the third most significant holiday following Black Friday and Christmas, it is an opportune time to consider some compelling concepts for your business to take full advantage on this occasion.
1> Use colors palette associated with Mother’s Day
This kind of change makes your store more welcoming. You can refer to these pairs of colors:
2> Offer special discounts
Creating special deals during Mother’s Day events like bundle or 1+1 offers is one of the best ways to boost your sales. You can highlight them on your homepage to be visible as soon as visitors reach your page and make it easy to navigate through your product offerings.
3> Create gift guides or a special section with product recommendations.
Creating gift guides or a product recommendation section can help increase engagement and sales on your Mother's Day landing page. By organizing products by categories and themes, you can make it easier for shoppers to find the perfect gift for their mothers. Including product descriptions, images, and customer reviews can also help improve the shopping experience and boost conversion rates.
Hope it helps and happy selling!
Warm regards,
Richard | PageFly

Hey @DanaS_.
Thanks for reaching out.
When taking a look at your store today I noticed that you do not currently have a favicon set for your website. A favicon is a small square image that represents a website in web browser tabs. If you take a look at the top tab bar of your browser right now, I’m sure you’ll see several favicons! Typically, favicons feature a logo, the first letter of the company name or simply an image that reflects the specifics of the website it represents.
Adding a favicon to your online store can help strengthen your brand and add a polished look to your website. You can click on this link to read instructions on how to create and add your own favicon your store.
Keep in mind that these images are displayed quite small, so it's good to keep in mind that the image you use should be readable at small sizes.
Let me know what you think.
