How can I make an image banner clickable on my website?

So i have any issue where i would like the image banner to be clickable and go to a collection. How do you do this?

1) go to your shopify admin>>themes>>action>>duplicate. (backup of the theme).

2) shopify admin>>themes>>action>>edit code>>search for image-banner.liquid

3) delete all the code in that file and paste this:

4) click save.

5) Go to shopify admin>>theme>>customize.

6) From the “Customize” page, click on the “Image Banner” section.

7) You’ll see a new option at the top named “Link”

😎 Simply add the link you want you can also choose to open it in a new tab if you wish.

NOTE: if you have added any buttons, this new link will overwrite their URLs.

Thank you, it worked however how do i do it for a slideshow? Do i do the same thing?

Also i have issue for the slideshow, i don’t really like how there is this underneath the images, how do i change the design to not have this and it still is a slideshow.

@suryagoswami7 I just tried this and while the "link" option appeared when I tried to customize. It had affected the banner height. Could you provide an updated version for the current Dawn template?

Code works great! However I have a transparent header so the icons are not clickable when on the banner. Scrolling down the icons work again. I would be very thankful if you could come up with a solution.
