How can I make my new online store more appealing to customers?

My store website url is lbfunctionz.com 

 

I just started it out and am clueless about what changes I probably should make in order to get customers. I do have people look at my website but I'm not generating sales yet. I have more product to add but I would like the overall feel of the site to be more inviting. Maybe a change in the logo? Or the verbiage I used for the 'call to actions'.

Hello @Lbfunctionz 

 

I just checked your site and it is good but not appealing much. Yes, the logo needs to be fixed in size and background color.

Fonts needs to be change in readable and simple format.

Using a size chart popup to show the size-chart. Let customer filter products by category/product type and many more.

 

If you are not able to understand then try to check any of your competitors site and compare. There's lot to do with your site.

1. Invest on bespoke imaginary and quality

  • Your current hero banner doesn't clearly showcase what you're selling, which can confuse potential buyers. Consider incorporating models wearing your clothing items against the backdrop of Long Beach scenery.
  • Due to the large image size, the quality of the images is significantly reduced. If you prefer not to change the images, I suggest changing the layout from 1 column per row to 3/4 columns per row.

2. Categorize your prodcuts into collection

Collections help organize your products into logical categories, making it easier for customers to navigate your store and find what they're looking for. By grouping similar products together, you create a more intuitive browsing experience.

3. Highlight brand features

Brand features help distinguish your brand from competitors. By highlighting unique aspects such as what materials of your clothes, …, you will set your brand apart in the market.

4. Reduce the product description content

While providing detailed product descriptions is beneficial, overwhelming buyers with too much information can lead to a negative experience. I recommend using drop-down accordion elements to conserve space and allow users to access additional details as needed.

5. Use color swatch in stead of variations

Color swatches provide a more visually engaging and intuitive way for customers to browse and select product options.

Additional images allow you to showcase your products from different angles, highlighting features, details, and textures that may not be visible in a single image. This provides customers with a more comprehensive view of the product, increasing their confidence in their purchase decision.

Sticky header is recommended, as it makes it easy for the user to directly jump to the menu at any point of time while they are navigating through the Site. Other significant observations for store optimization are as follows:

 

  1. Put "Secured and trusted checkout with" in your footer.
  2. The default search landing page is a bit off, I mean it's empty. You can show products on that page as well by simply updating the default search on the website with different search solutions.
  3. Add a live chat option on the website.
  4. Taking someone to the cart is a challenge. So to make them buy from your site, add a longer product description as it leads to better SEO ranking in Google search. Ref article from Shopify
  5. Finally, I would also recommend you to try Sparq product filters and search to replace the default search on your store, this app allows advanced custom tag product filters for collection pages, synonyms, spelling correction, and other such features.
