Feedback for your online store from the community
I have two different stores inside of my shopify account, I didn't intend for that to happen, but I clicked on something I shouldn't have, don't judge me,lol. My question is, is there a way to merge these two stores or get rid of the one I don't need?
Hey @KNOWLEDGEBOY
No worries, mistakes happen! While merging two separate stores within Shopify is not directly supported, there are a few options you can consider:
Manual migration: If you want to consolidate the content and products from the two stores into a single store, you can manually migrate the data. This involves exporting the necessary information, such as product details, customer data, and order history, from one store and importing it into the other. However, keep in mind that this process can be time-consuming and may require careful data mapping and validation to ensure accuracy.
Third-party migration apps: There are migration apps available in the Shopify App Store that can assist you in transferring data between two stores. These apps provide automated migration processes, allowing you to select the data you want to transfer and smoothly move it from one store to another. Research and choose a reliable migration app that meets your specific requirements.
Seek Shopify Support: Contact Shopify Support directly and explain your situation. They may be able to provide guidance or offer a solution to merge or transfer data between the two stores. Shopify's support team has expertise in managing such scenarios and can provide you with the best advice based on your specific situation.
Before taking any action, it's crucial to carefully assess the content, products, and other data in both stores to ensure you retain what is necessary and don't inadvertently lose any important information. Additionally, consider factors such as inventory management, SEO impact, and any integrations or apps connected to the stores.
Remember to back up your data from both stores before initiating any migration or changes to ensure you have a safe copy of your information.

Hi @KNOWLEDGEBOY ,
This is Ricardo from InventoryHero app, just reaching out to mention that Shopify currently does not support that feature but here you are some considerations you may want to follow before doing it yourself:
PRO TIP:
If you are considering combining two Shopify stores, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, consider the URL structure of your stores. You will need to redirect all of your old store’s URLs to the new store, which can be a complex process. Finally, think about your customer base. If you have a large and loyal customer base, they may not be happy with the change. Make sure to communicate any changes to your store clearly and give customers plenty of notice so they can adjust.
