You will first want to create your SKUs, which can be in whatever format you prefer. We do have guidance and advice on how to create your SKUs on the Shopify Help Center.

In terms of adding these SKUs to barcodes and printing them out, you can do this via the Retail Barcode Labels app. This is a free app built by Shopify and allows you to assign barcodes to your products and print them out. There are instructions here on how to install and use the app.
