Feedback for your online store from the community
Hey all- My wife and I are incredibly new to this. We have been underwriting and business building for the past year, and we were excited to launch last week. Our first pop-up is scheduled at the beginning of March, but I would love to get feedback on the store https://coffeehavenco.com/ .
We have only sold to friends and family so far... What has been working for you? Any way to source customers online?

Firstly, congratulate you on your new business, we dived into your site and see what you did was amazing. However, we notice a few things that you may want to change to improve the customer experience.
1. Header tab:
- One thing you should do is make your header sticky. With sitcky header, your customer will easily access to any information that they want.
- Besides, you should leave these categories directly shown on the header, this way won't annoy customers to find the information.
- One more thing you can do with your header tab is add a Search tab, people can search for the products that they want quickly.
2. Menu section:
This section is not really comfortable for user, people easily get pass through it because they seem "faded". And with the automated moving effect, it's quite annoy people while scrolling through it.
3. Product page:
Your product page quite messy, the product name, picture, the price should be listed like the screenshot below.
- The product details should be listed by the origin material, date, flavour, how to use and how to keep it fresh in separated lines
4. Product section:
If you want to show new products, you can add some information below the product and add a CTA button that redirect customers to the product page. This way can increase the rate of likelihood to purchase.
5. Testimonials:
Reviews play an important role when it comes to purchasing online. Add some testimonials can build the trust to your customers and increase the chance of likelihood to purchase. You can use 3rd- party app to import reviews to your site. We do provide solution for reviews for all businesses, you can find more about us here if you interested.
6. Pagespeed insights:
Your page speed performance not really good and seems like your theme not responsive good with mobile. You can consider to change to other theme that responsive to both version. Furthermore, your should optimize your pictures with compressing tools, remove unnecessary code or apps to improve the page speed.

Hello there friend @CoffeeHavenCo I have a couple suggestions on how you could improve your store.
1) Your friends and family that have patronized so far should drop some feedback about the quality of the products in the store on the homepage.
2) Let customers be aware of what others are doing in the store. This would help serve as a means of inspiration for them to place orders as well. The Show Recent Orders App would be particularly helpful in this regard as the app would help provide regular pop ups indicating actions taken by other customers while someone else is navigating through the store. I checked your page speed and your page’s performance is pretty good on desktop however it's not that well on mobile so I suggest you improve this by switching to a more mobile responsive theme and page builder.
1. Redesign the hero banner to highlight key products, brand features and add a CTA button
To increase the conversion rate, I suggest you use bespoke product photography of your products, a coffee blend would be a great idea. Adding some eye catching text to capture you brand is also a great way to help site visitors understand who you are as a brand. A button to encourage visitors to your desired call-to-action such as subscribing to your newsletter is also crucial as well.
2. Relocate the navigation and search bar to the top of the page
I also suggest you move your navigation part from the bottom to the top of the page as it’s currently not user-friendly for users when they’re scrolling through. The current placement is not really accessible for them, hence they could skip through the navigation.
Placing the search bar is also a great idea to help customers quickly find what they want without having to scroll through the product list.
3. Merge information the footer section
I see that you divided the footer into many parts but I suggest merging Contact & Contact Information & About Us together because they fall into the same umbrella. Including shipping policy with your refund policy is also encouraged to show your store’s professionalism and credibility.

Since coffee is not exactly an easy to swatch product, I suggest you help customers decide on which blend suits them best by adding a pop-up quiz with questions like: How strong do you like your coffee to be? Do you prefer the bitter or sweet after taste?...
2. Add 3-5 photos of products and add lifestyle photography
For optimized conversion rate, I think you should add more product photography. Some ideas could be: zoom-in of the coffee beans, the finished product when done roasting and brewing, a cup of coffee in a nice setting.
Writing some text to provide more information about the size of the packaging, origin and how to make a cup of coffee is also highly recommended.
It’s great to know that you have spent your time developing your business and building your store. I also suggest that including social media as a part of your marketing strategy such as hiring an influencer or running a TikTok account to share your products.
