Hi all,

We have recently launched quite a niche store for pet rat owners.  We have had some traffic but as of yet no sales.  We would love to hear your constructive criticism and feedback on how we can improve our website.

Many Thanks!

Hi @Boggleandsqueak ,

This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder App.

Congratulations on your new store. It's pretty with a well-designed layout, I have just some small suggestions for a better chance of gaining sales. May it help!

1. Homepage

You should consider adjusting your sticky header and hero banner. Let's get consumers to know exactly what you're having in 5 seconds first. I suggest that:

  • You should have a smaller header. The logo image takes a big area where we can display more about your product information/image
  • Improve your backgrounds with highlighted Heading + CTA buttons: You can take a look at this image below, I think it’s hard to scan and read.  It’ll be better if you adjust the text which overlaid the picture. You should use another color or make your background picture a bit transparent.

2. Product page

For each product page, you should have 3-5 Product images which are shown all angles of your product. It's hard for customers to see the front and back of the shirt, and zoom in and out to see the material.

Besides, you can consider having at least 1 product- in-scale image, in which the product is on the model or beside another item. It allows merchants to imagine how big and how fit they are, for example, they can see how big the shirts are and how the color works on the different types of skin.

Moreover, you can use color swatches to show the product variants on your product page/ collection page.

I hope this will be helpful to you. In case you have any questions or comments, feel free to let me know.
Good luck and have a nice day! Cheers!
