We've been doing a lot of work to our store but our conversion rate remains low and our bounce rate is high. If anyone wants to take a look and give us pointers & suggestions on how we could address these issues, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Hi there Kate,

This is Richard from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder App. I’m glad to hear you have spent efforts in improving your store. In general, I think you store is quite stunning with clear implement of CRO best practices! To further improve it, I would like to give my feedback on your store’s Homepage, Collection page and Product page. Hope this can help!

PAGESPEED

Here’s an analysis from PageSpeed Insights. In general, you page’s performance is quite good however it can be improved in mobile performance and SEO for both devices.

  • Your mobile performance can be improved by Reduce unused JavaScript and unused CSS
  • The website’s SEO can be improved by inserting keywords into your product title, product descriptions and blog

HOMEPAGE

  • Add more visual elements such as images or videos to break up the text and make the page more engaging. This can also help showcase the website owner's work and give visitors a better sense of their style and capabilities. You can also change the hero banner into a slideshow to display more images or a even your products, such as how do they look in natural lightings
  • Optimize the page loading speed by compressing images, using a content delivery network (CDN), and minifying code. This can help improve the user experience and reduce bounce rates.
  • Use social proof elements such as wholesale client logos and more than one testimonial to further establish credibility and trust with potential customers.

COLLECTION PAGE

PageFlyRichard_2-1681893192265.png

  • It’s great to see you have many collections to help user navigate the product that suit their needs best, however, I suggest you can improve this by having pop-up window to ask them questions such as their budget, preferred materials, occasion,... then give them a list of suitable collections
  • Reorganizing the layout of these collections is also a great idea, I think having an asymmetrical layout would fit your brand’s aesthetic better so you can consider this as well

PRODUCT PAGE

PageFlyRichard_3-1681893191771.png

  • From the price range of your products, I see that your store carry quite high-end products. To sell products with such high prices like yours, you should add the ratings for each products to increase credibility
  • Adding an filter to sort products by price and A-Z is highly recommended to help site visitors have better search

Additionally, with Mother's Day 2023 fast approaching, also ranked as the third most significant holiday following Black Friday and Christmas, it is an opportune time to consider some compelling concepts for your business to take full advantage on this occasion.

1. Use colors palette associated with Mother’s Day

This kind of change makes your store more welcoming. You can refer to these pairs of colors:

  • Pastel Pink and Green: This color palette is soft, delicate, and feminine, making it a popular choice for Mother's Day. It includes shades of light pink, blush, and pale green, which evoke feelings of tenderness, love, and springtime.
  • Red and White: This classic color combination is timeless and elegant, and it's often used to symbolize the love and appreciation we have for our mothers. It's a bold and impactful color palette that can be used to create a variety of different designs.
  • Lilac and Light Blue: This color palette is soft and soothing, with shades of pale purple and blue that are reminiscent of springtime flowers and clear skies. It's a calming and peaceful color palette that's perfect for creating a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere on Mother's Day.

2. Offer special discounts

Create special deals during Mother’s Day event like bundle or 1+1 offer is one of the best ways to boost your sales. You can highlight them on your homepage to be visible as soon as visitors reach your page and make it easy to navigate through your product offerings.

3. Create gift guides or a special section with product recommendations.

Creating gift guides or a product recommendation section can help increase engagement and sales on your Mother's Day landing page. By organizing products by categories and themes, you can make it easier for shoppers to find the perfect gift for their mothers. Including product descriptions, images, and customer reviews can also help improve the shopping experience and boost conversion rates.

Let me know if you have any questions. Wish you the best of luck!

Hi Katcadegan,

I just visited your store, the products look beautiful. I found a few points that could be improved:

1. Search Box on Search Page seems not working

2. Product description > Details > Bullet point with no text

3. Should add size guide to product

You can read Shopify blogs about CRO and related topics for more information. I found this article could be helpful for you:

Hello @katcadegan,

This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

The design is very professional and well done. However, I have a few suggestions for improvement.

1. Enhance your product pages by including a comprehensive and informative product description that highlights the key features and benefits of your product. This will entice potential buyers to make a purchase.

2. Developing an optimal SEO product title and URL can assist search engines in accurately identifying your products and increasing traffic to your online store. Hence, strive to create distinctive and precise product titles and URLs.

3. Add detailed filters in collection pages to help your visitors narrow in on the specific product they're looking for and find products they might be interested in based on certain features (e.g. size, color, price range)

4. Add sorting feature in collection pages for changing the order of any product listing whereby users can choose which criteria they want the products to be listed by.

5. I noticed you are actively contributing to Instagram. That's awesome. I would advise you to consider adding an Instagram feed to the homepage that can help improve engagement, social proof, sales, and SEO, making it a worthwhile addition to your website.
6. You have a lot of images with empty alt text. Alt text that is added to the image's HTML code is a good place to include the keywords for better SEO. This will help search engines understand the context of the image and improve its visibility in search results.

Hope this helps

Gina

Hi @katcadegan

My name is Al - Affiliate Special Projects at LoudCrowd: Creator Storefronts. We help brands boost their conversion rates and order values by leveling up the traditional affiliate marketing experience with Creator Storefronts and scalable Ambassador Programs.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with your conversion rates! I know that is incredibly frustrating. I would love to help out and provide some recommendations!

First things first, do you know where your traffic is coming from? Not all traffic is created equal... so it's important to know that your leveraging the right creators / channels to funnel the ideal customer to your site.

Secondly, are you bridging the gap between channel source and your eCommerce experience yet? If customers are accessing the Kat Cadegan site from Instagram or TikTok, are you simply sending them to the homepage rather than a page dedicated to their favorite content creator, or the product they actually saw on social? Creator Storefronts are the best way to make the transition from social to your store seamless, proven to boost your conversion rates and AOV.

Let me know your thoughts on the above!
