How Do You Handle Taxes On Your Store From A Customer Trust Perspective

So I had a customer today tell a friend of mine that she thought my site, www.ubgclothing.com, wasn't trustworthy since her order didn't display taxes. Although, customers who reside in my state have to pay taxes, I don't have enough revenue (yet) for out of state customers. The only way that I would have known about this trust factor is because it was shared with a friend. If you've ever come across this, how did you handle?
