How does my newly revamped UK-based online store look?

Hi All.

I hope you are well. My store has been revamped and I wanted to ask for feedback from you. I am based in the U.K. and sell to the U.K. only. I want to ensure we are legally compliant in every respect before launching the store. I value all feedback. To soon to have reviews yet.

Just had a look through your store and I was quite impressed!

 

With the layout, the colour scheme and the super creative logo, the store looks like an already well established gift shop - and I could see it as something customers would find as a trustworthy place to purchase their gifts. Great job!

 

I particularly love that there is a pet gifts section, makes your store that much more unique!

 

Just as some feedback, at the very bottom of the page you have an unedited blank section 'EXAMPLE PRODUCT' - just make sure to remove that as it may be off putting if forgotten about!

 

Are you planning to introduce a seasonal or occasion category?

 

An example would be birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day etc.

 

I would recommend considering that down the line, as when special occasions approach, people will often search terms like 'Birthday gifts UK', - and if your store offers such a category, this could improve your SEO ranking and make it more likely that customers will find and choose your store for this.

It looks gorgeous now, but I think it has more rooms to optimize in the Collection page

  •  ADD MORE HUMAN MODEL IMAGES

Adding more "Human model" using your products in QUICK VIEW MODE would improve conversion rate. With only numbers in detail text can't convey size and scale of size and scale, and not everyone can imagine the right size of product. Our website testing revealed that using human models alongside other cut-out product images gives users a clearer grasp of a product's size and appearance, boosts their decision-making process.

  • TEXT FORMAT

Your current font is relatively small compared to typical Desktop font sizes, as Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) experts typically recommend a minimum of 16px.

  • The font family of all paragraphs on the page should be consistent to create a unified look and feel (two different format is plenty, one is often sufficient)
  • Moreover, for product names that are too long, when you use '"Large letter spacing'", this causes dispersion and makes it difficult to grasp information.
  • Avoid using all caps text, except for non-reading contexts like acronyms or logos. When conveying a message that requires reading, refrain from using all capital letters. As noted by documentation of CRO experts, all-capital text significantly hinders reading speed and scanning compared to lowercase type.
  • CALL-TO-ACTION BUTTON SYSTEM

Considering what we should prioritize writing in the CTA Button, “View all” is a good example, but not very motivating our customer to stay in for longer. “Explore more" is better idea!

  • CTA buttons should also be distributed more effectively. You can try my suggestions: A simple mockup of the Font and CTA button is presented here:

  • UTILIZE HOLIDAY EVENT FOR OUR SELLING STRATEGY

Coming up is an opportunity for businesses like us, Black Friday to Cyber Monday will attract a lot of new customers and have extremely high shopping demands. thank you so. U.K. h for your feedback and the ideas too. I have removed that image at the bottom of the home page. Anniversaries etc are another thought I am thinking of especially weddings too. Do you have a store too?

Hi Lana,

thank you for your great feedback. I have removed that example product. Also encouraging customers to share photos of them wearing any products they buy with discount incentives. This way we can show real life people using them. Increased the pet range. And also looking at specific promotion campaigns throughout the year. Thank you once again.

Thank you so much. I appreciate your feedback. I agree human images are good. I intend to encourage my customers to take photos of them wearing or using the products and to share with me for encourage g more sales. Have you any app you can suggest?
