How to delete a duplicate online store account without affecting the original?

Hi

I am trying to set up a shopify store and I think I have accidentally setup two stores with the same name because when I sign in sometimes I have a blue icon with two initials in the top right hand corner and sometimes I have a pink icon with three initials in the top right hand corner.  If I have set up two by mistake how do I delete one without deleting the other.  I would be very grateful for any help in resolving this so I only have one site.  Thank you

Based on what you described it does sound like you may have two accounts. If you used the same email address for both accounts you should be able to switch between them by clicking the icon with the initials that you described. You can find the steps to swich between your Shopify stores here as well.

If you don't have the option to switch to another store when you follow those steps, the second account may have been created with a different email address. In that case you can use this page to find the second account. When you enter your email address there you will receive an email at that address listing any stores associated with it. I recommend trying all of your email addresses to maximize your chances of finding any additional stores you may have created.

Once you locate the account you want to close you can close it by following these steps here.
