Hello Shopify community,

I recently started my handmade jewelry business on Shopify, It's been a month and half,  and I only made a few sales. I had around 1K visitors today but not yet had any sales. I am not sure what is the issue on my conversion. I am hoping if anyone would take a look at my website and provide some feedbacks.

Also, what is the average # of visitors per day for all your successful shops?

Thank you.

Hello @vanf3326,

Good day! Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

It is difficult to provide an exact average number of visitors per day for successful Shopify shops, as this can vary widely based on many factors such as the niche, target audience, marketing efforts, product offerings, and pricing strategy.

I've taken a look at your store and found there are quite a few things which if added can increase sales.

1. Add favicon to help visitors locate your page easier when they have multiple tabs open. Also it will add overall branding consistency and their absence might be seen as unprofessional.
2. Enhance your product pages by including a comprehensive and informative product description that highlights the key features and benefits of your product. This will entice potential buyers to make a purchase.

Pearl Earring – Apollo + Luna 2023-04-25 01-05-21.png
3. Testimonials are a good way to increase the trust and will influence the purchasing decision. Also, provide the customers' full name, and profile photo of them to add authenticity and credibility.
4. Create a Facebook account for your store. Having a Facebook Store is a great way to grow your business, allowing you to tap into new audiences and gain more customers.
5. Developing an optimal SEO product title and URL can assist search engines in accurately identifying your products and increasing traffic to your online store. Hence, strive to create distinctive and precise product titles and URLs.

Pearl Earring – Apollo + Luna 2023-04-25 01-04-48.png
6. Add detailed filters in collection pages to help your visitors narrow in on the specific product they're looking for and find products they might be interested in based on certain features (e.g. size, color, category)

Bracelet – Apollo + Luna 2023-04-25 01-03-35.png
7. Add sticky header
Adding sticky header allow users to quickly access the navigation, search, and utility-navigation elements without scrolling up to the top of the page. They increase the discoverability of the elements in the header and the chance that users will take advantage of them.
8. Through consistent and high-quality blogging, you can improve your website's search engine rankings, drive more traffic to your site, and establish your brand as a trustworthy and knowledgeable source in your industry. By focusing on creating valuable content that addresses your readers' needs, you can build a loyal following and boost your online influence.

It's important to note that while traffic is important, the quality of traffic and the conversion rate of visitors into customers is also crucial for a successful Shopify store. Therefore, focusing on targeted marketing efforts and creating a great user experience can be just as important as driving traffic to your store.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hey @Vanf3326.

Thanks for reaching out.

I appreciate that you have provided your online store URL for us to take a look and explore.

Looking into your online store, I noticed that you do not have a favicon added to your online store. A favicon is a small square image that represents a website in web browser tabs. If you take a look at the top tab bar of your browser right now, I’m sure you’ll see several favicons! Favicons can feature a logo, the first letter of the company name or simply an image that reflects the specifics of the website it represents. Adding a favicon to your online store can help strengthen your brand and add a polished look to your website.

Keep in mind that these images are displayed quite small, so it's good to keep in mind that the image you use should be readable at small sizes.

If you have any social media pages, I would suggest adding those to your online store to show business legitimacy to your visitors. They can also help you reach a larger audience! You can add social media links to your online store by navigating to the theme settings and selecting on the social media.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @vanf3326,

This is Richard - CRO Expert at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app. I have just had a look at your store and I have a compliment for the overall structure and design. It’s minimal though easy to look at, and the website is set up well and quite professionally. From my experience, I have a few suggestions on your web design for a better chance of gaining sales and increasing the conversion rate. Hope it could help you in some way!

Homepage

1. Add a favicon

PageFlyRichard_0-1682472609665.png

A favicon can help increase brand recognition by providing a visual representation of a brand that appears in the browser tab, making it easier for users to identify and remember the website.

You can check this image for reference:

PageFlyRichard_1-1682472609667.png2. Adjust the banner to be smaller and make the header sticky

PageFlyRichard_2-1682472609672.png

It somehow can be frustrating when the banner takes over a lot of space on your homepage and it can make customers hard to see the content below. It also makes a lot of white space so you should make the logo smaller a bit to balance the overall design like this:

PageFlyRichard_3-1682472609674.png

Besides, you definitely should make the header sticky. By keeping the essential elements of a page visible and simple to access, a sticky header can assist in increasing website conversions by incentivizing visitors to take action while browsing the website.

3. Change the position of the CTA button

PageFlyRichard_5-1682472609680.png

Your CTA position now might make the hero banner look messy and unbalanced due to many elements at one point. It’s highly recommended that you change the CTA button to the empty space to make the pictures look better and also not to make many redundant spaces.

4. Insert social icon and direct link

PageFlyRichard_6-1682472609682.png

Instead of only leaving the name of your shop, you should add an icon of that social platform and insert the link there. It will make it easier for customers to visit your social platform just by clicking it and be directed to the platform quickly.

5. Consider adding Gemstones guide under the products’ display

PageFlyRichard_7-1682472609687.png

If you add the guide right below the products, customers can see it and increase the chance of getting more sales right on the homepage. It’s because they can see the product and know right away what it’s for, they will more likely to make a quick check out without checking the product page.

Product page

1. Always include compelling CTAs in the products

PageFlyRichard_8-1682472609698.png

It’s best to add a compelling CTA instead of only illustrations for the products. When customers see the products while scrolling to see your products, they may not want to click on the product to be directed to the product page once again but see the details directly there. A great point here is you already have the hover image for the product for them to know overall. So in case the customers want it, a CTA like this will make the process quicker and seamless.

2. Change the position of the product’s description

PageFlyRichard_9-1682472609704.png

It’s more reasonable to add the description right below the product name and price, it makes customers see it in a few seconds and decides to purchase the product.

For the payment options, you can move it below the payment button as an explanation and highlight the payment process.

3. Add the number in stocks or products sold

PageFlyRichard_10-1682472609711.png

This will create the FOMO effect in your customers. If they are still hesitating to buy the product, the stocks will be a deciding factor for their choice. Also, when the sales are high, it will make customers believe in the quality of the product and purchase it.

Moreover, with Mother's Day 2023 fast approaching, and also ranked as the third most significant holiday following Black Friday and Christmas, it is an opportune time to consider some compelling concepts for your business to take full advantage of this occasion.

1. Use a colors palette associated with Mother’s Day

This kind of change makes your store more welcoming. You can refer to these pairs of colors:

  • Pastel Pink and Green: This color palette is soft, delicate, and feminine, making it a popular choice for Mother's Day. It includes shades of light pink, blush, and pale green, which evoke feelings of tenderness, love, and springtime.
  • Red and White: This classic color combination is timeless and elegant, and it's often used to symbolize the love and appreciation we have for our mothers. It's a bold and impactful color palette that can be used to create a variety of different designs.
  • Lilac and Light Blue: This color palette is soft and soothing, with shades of pale purple and blue that are reminiscent of springtime flowers and clear skies. It's a calming and peaceful color palette that's perfect for creating a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere on Mother's Day.

2. Offer special discounts

Creating special deals during Mother’s Day events like bundles or 1+1 offers is one of the best ways to boost your sales. You can highlight them on your homepage to be visible as soon as visitors reach your page and make it easy to navigate through your product offerings.

3. Create gift guides or a special section with product recommendations.

Creating gift guides or a product recommendation section can help increase engagement and sales on your Mother's Day landing page. By organizing products by categories and themes, you can make it easier for shoppers to find the perfect gift for their mothers. Including product descriptions, images, and customer reviews can also help improve the shopping experience and boost conversion rates.

Hope all my suggestions will be helpful to you. Good luck and have a nice day!

Cheers!

2. Enhance your product pages by including a comprehensive and informative product description that highlights the key features and benefits of your product. This will entice potential buyers to make a purchase.
