Hi, I just recently launched my website a couple months ago and have had over 1,600 visitors but only one sale. I would appreciate some feedback on my store (www.SensyKid.com).

Hi SensyKid,

This is Amee from Gojiberry - Shopify Survey & Feedback App

First of all, congratulations on your first sale! Your site looks quite wonderful and well-made. I took a look at your store and have a few suggestions that will help increase your conversion rate:

1. Connect Social Media. If you already have a growing Instagram account, it would help to connect the feed to your main site, thus giving it more social proof. Research shows that 76% of customers buy products seen on social media posts.

2. Influencer Collab. Since you have visually appealing products, it would be good to connect with micro-influencers, send them some of your goods, and ask them to create some content for your social media as well as your Shopify store.

3. Clear messaging. It wasn't super clear to me that the backpack includes all the books, art, supplies etc when I first entered your site. It's only after I saw the listing then I realise the price included everything in the picture.

4. Testimonials. Try to showcase at least 5 testimonials on your site. Whether it's from friends and family, or your offline store customers. Having some social proof helps boost consumer confidence in your site.

5. Ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) When you have some converting customers, ask them how they found out about your shop. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.

Hope this helps!

The Ultimate 12 Best Practices to Growing Your Shopify Store

Hi @SensyKid,

I'm Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder.

Congratulations on your new store! The design of your website looks clean & majestic. It's clear that you've put a lot of thought and effort into creating an online presence. I also totally understand the hardships of growing a new online business that you are facing, so from my Conversion Rate Optimization expertise, I would like to offer some suggestions to help you get more engagement & increase sales.

1. Add a favicon logo for your website

Favicon is the small logo that typically appears in a browser tab, and I've highlighted it in the screenshot below. It’s important especially with new sites because favicon logos can improve the user experience by making it easier for visitors to identify your site when they have multiple tabs open in their browser. It also makes bookmarking and navigating to your site more intuitive.

2. Create the first showcase of your products on homepage

Your store provides a variety of products. So I recommend adding a section to showcase the most popular products, with an Explore more button to allow shoppers to view additional products. This would help reduce bounce rate as they can continue to explore other options to their liking, so increase shoppers' engagement & allow more chances of getting sales.

You can add it here:

3. Highlight the important information

Shoppers often visit e-commerce websites with the primary intent of finding and comparing prices. You should set it bold or use another color to make the price information more noticeable. It will meet shoppers' expectations and help them make informed decisions quickly.

4. Use color option swatches for your product pages

Instead of just listing the product variants, you can consider using option swatches to showcase different color options of the product. Swatches are intuitive and user-friendly which would enhance the shopper experience. Customers can simply click on the swatch that corresponds to their desired option, reducing the need to read text-based descriptions or select options from the drop-down menu.

5. Showcase shoppable social feeds on your store

A great way to enhance store visuals & get more chances to increase sales is to create shoppable Instagram feeds on your site. Consider using apps such as VIBE, Instafeed, to showcase stunning Instagram feeds from your own posts, tag products in your photos and reels, & allow your customers to shop right in your Instagram feed.

Cheers,
