Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello i am an online store that sells korean skincare/makeup i wanted to know how i can improve my website as i have a low conversion rate with no sales yet.. my store: https://lekosmos.co.uk/
Hi @LeKosmos, some small things I noticed:
- Some of the product photos appear in low quality (bottom of homepage featured products)
- There are placeholders all over in your policy pages (search for [ brackets), this could lower trust
- Your address and phone number is missing on the contact us page
- No mention of shipping delivery date (estimate) until checkout
Hello there @LeKosmos I have had a look at your store and here are a few suggestions on how it could be improved.
1) Add sections for best sellers and latest arrivals on the homepage. This would help customers a lot on their navigation within the store
2) Consider adding a few FAQs on the homepage to provide more clarity on things such as the ingredients in your products and what makes them work better than other skincare products in the market.
I hope you find these helpful!

Congrats on your new store! Your store looks stunning. I can tell you have put a lot of effort into building this. However, I have some comments to make the good get even better. Here are some of my recommendations for better customer experience, please kindly check:
1. Add Hero Image for your HomePage:
I can see your current Homepage lack of a Hero section. A hero image is often the first visual element visitors see, making it crucial for establishing the brand’s identity and grabbing attention. Consider to use a high-quality image of a curated product set or a lifestyle image that aligns with the brand's aesthetic (e.g., a person applying makeup or a flat-lay shot of the product collection). This image should feature natural lighting, clean backgrounds, and a focus on the best-selling or seasonal products to encourage exploration. Take a look at this example:
2. Create Bundles to Encourage Sales
Consider to Add curated bundles like the “Spring Makeup Set” with a “Save 23%” offer, as shown in the screenshot. Product sets encourage larger purchases and appeal to customers seeking a complete solution at a discounted rate. For example, a “Summer Glow Kit” with complementary products (like a bronzer, highlighter, and lip gloss) can be appealing and improve average order value.
3. Add Trust Section
Consider to add trust section under your product section. It is essential for reassuring customers and building confidence in your brand. Here’s how it can benefit and what to include. Think about to include some essential components:
4. Revise your current Customer Review Section
Use a more eye-catching layout, such as a card-style design, to make the reviews stand out. Encourage customers to upload photos of the products in use. Visuals can make reviews feel more authentic and relatable, building trust with potential buyers. Take a look at this example:
5. Add Social Media Gallery Section.
Combines links to social media profiles such as Facebook, Instagram, showing your brand-related images to encourage user engagement and showcase products in real-life settings
6. Add Live Chat Support for your store
I can see that your website lacks a help widget and live chat feature to allow customers to contact you immediately. How about having a powerful live chat to assist potential customers instantly, addressing their questions or concerns in real time? This can help prevent abandonment and encourage purchases
I suggest exploring MooseDesk, a free Live Chat, WhatsApp & FAQ App. You can easily reach customer support via WhatsApp, ensuring immediate assistance for inquiries. Also, the widget provide multi self-Service options such as order tracking and an FAQ section empower customers to resolve common questions on their own, reducing the need for direct support.

Hi @LeKosmos! I'm Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.
After visiting your website, I can see that it is very well-designed with a calm and inviting feeling. I understand that you've poured a lot of effort into building it. Regarding the problem you are facing, I have some suggestions that may help you increase the website conversion rate:
1. Create a stronger value proposition
- Issue: If visitors don’t understand what sets your products apart or why they need them, they’re unlikely to make a purchase.
- Example: A generic statement like “Effective Korean skincare” isn’t enough to make your brand stand out in a competitive market.
- Solution: Refine your value proposition to clearly communicate what makes your products unique—whether it’s specific ingredients, innovative formulas, or skincare trends. Use your homepage, product pages, and ads to consistently deliver this message. Here are some examples: "Glow Naturally with Gentle Korean Botanicals," "Affordable K-Beauty for Every Skin Type," or "Revitalize Your Skin with the Latest K-Beauty Trends."
2. Understand your audience and refine targeting
- Issue: You might be attracting the wrong audience. For example, if you’re offering affordable, trendy Korean skincare, but your ads target people looking for luxury beauty products, they may browse but won’t convert.
- Solution: Use data from Google Analytics or Shopify’s analytics to better understand who your visitors are. Refine your ad targeting to focus on demographics that align with your ideal customers (e.g., age, skin type, beauty interests, or familiarity with K-beauty). A/B test different ad creatives, such as highlighting unique ingredients or skincare routines, to see what resonates most with your audience.
3. Leverage user behavior data to improve conversion
- Issue: Not understanding where visitors drop off can prevent you from making necessary improvements.
- Solution: Use marketing tools (like Hotjar, Google Analytics) to analyze user behavior on your site. Heatmaps and session recordings can show where users are clicking, where they’re dropping off, and which parts of the site are getting the most attention. Use this data to optimize your site layout, adjust content, and remove any barriers to conversion.
4. Trust & Credibility
- Return & Refund Policy: Clearly state your return and refund policy. Make it hassle-free for customers to return items if necessary—this reduces the perceived risk of making a purchase.
A well-written policy can also build trust. Reassure customers that you stand behind your products.
- Trust Badges: Display security badges like SSL certification, verified payments, and trusted shipping carriers on your product page. These small badges can significantly boost confidence in your site’s legitimacy.
5. Leverage social proof with reviews and customer feedback
- Issue: Shoppers are more likely to trust the experiences of other customers than brand claims alone. If your store lacks visible reviews or customer feedback, visitors may hesitate to make a purchase, especially in a competitive market like skincare.
- Solution: Add a dedicated reviews and feedback section on product pages to build trust and credibility. Encourage customers to leave reviews by sending post-purchase emails or offering small incentives, like loyalty points. Display testimonials, user-generated content, and before-and-after photos to further showcase real experiences.
6. Refine Pricing Strategy
- Issue: Pricing may not align with customer expectations. If your prices are too high compared to competitors, or if customers don’t see the value for the price, they won’t buy.
- Example: If similar products are available elsewhere at lower prices, visitors might leave your site to purchase from a competitor.
- Solution: Conduct a competitive analysis to see how your pricing compares to similar products. Consider offering introductory discounts, bundling products, or creating a pricing strategy that highlights the value customers are getting. Clearly communicate any unique value propositions that justify your pricing.
Improving your store’s conversion rate is a continuous process, and every small improvement can add up over time. Keep testing different strategies, and don’t be discouraged if it takes a bit of trial and error. Good luck!
